Women's Cross Country Concludes NCAA Championship

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Three Southern Athletic Association individuals and one team completed the NCAA championship race.

The team representing the SAA, Trinity, who earned an at-large bid finished 27th overall with their performance. Leading the way was Gianna Keena who finished in 110th place with a time of 22:51. Despite battling an injury for the better part of the season, she has been Trinity's frontrunner throughout, leading the team to a dominant conference championship win and the best finish they have ever had in the West Region.

Also running for the Tigers was Anne Snider (153rd, 23:12), Emerson Voldan (176th, 23:20), Sophia Munoz (198th, 23:29), Cali Good (233rd, 23:33), and Avery Hand (241st, 24:04).

Sophie Bouldin of Centre finished with her career best at the championship. Bouldin toured the 6k course at Converse College in 22:41.4 to finish in 80th place out of 294 runners. She gained on runners throughout the race, improving in the standings after each kilometer after ending the first one in 160th place.

Bouldin was no stranger to the NCAA Championship course, as she improved by over 19 seconds from the time she posted in September at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, also hosted by Converse.

Despite posting the slowest time in three races at the NCAA Championships on a slower course, the 80th place finish was the best of Bouldin's career at the finals, as she also had finishes of 136th place in 2024 and 89th place in 2023.

The duo from Rhodes of Anna Cantrell, the SAA medalist and Elena Gentry took on the championship course for the Lynx. Cantrell finished 180th with a time of 23:30 while Gentry took 211th at 23:37.

This caps off a phenomenl year for all SAA Cross Country.
