GEORGETOWN, Tx. - Trinity claims the 2025 SAA Women's Cross Country crown after placing six in the top 10 of finishers. Anna Cantrell of Rhodes won the individual title for Athlete of the Year honors.
Trinity demolished the race with 30 points and runner up Centre had 57. Rhodes finished in third with 65.
Beginning at 10:30 a.m., all eight Southern Athletic Association teams charged from the starting line and battled through the full 6K.
Rhodes’ Cantrell delivered a standout performance, clocking a 22:08.7 to break into the SAA Championship all-time top 20 and secure the ninth-fastest time in meet history. Her finish also marked Rhodes’ first individual title since 2017, ending Centre’s seven-year run atop the podium.
Last year’s champion, Centre’s Sophie Bouldin, crossed next in 22:14.6, closing out her senior season with a strong runner-up finish and First Team All-SAA honors.
Centre teammate Gracie West followed in third at 22:23.9.
Oglethorpe’s Kirsten Rose earned SAA Rookie of the Year after finishing 14th overall in 23:27.6, securing Honorable Mention recognition.
The 2025 SAA Coaching Staff of the Year award went to Trinity University, led by head coach Emily Daum.
