CANTON, Ga. - After a very competitive early season, nonconference schedule, league play is in full swing for SAA volleyball teams. Centre is 3-0 in the conference and 11-4 overall to lead the way while Berry is also unbeaten at 2-0. Rhodes (2-1) and Millsaps (1-1) picked up conference wins last week.

OFFENSIVE:
Lura Underwood | Berry | Junior | Atlanta, Ga. - posted a double-double, leading the Vikings offensively and defensively in a 3-0 victory over Millsaps. Lura posted a match-high 15 kills (5.0 k/s, .324 hitting %) and a match-high 18 digs (6.0 d/s). The Vikings are now 2-0 in SAA conference play.
DEFENSIVE:
June Padilla | Centre | Senior | Murfreesboro, Tenn. – Across three games this week, the senior posted game highs in digs all three times. She finished with 24 digs against Asbury, 19 against Rhodes and 14 against Hendrix. In the two conference matchups this week, Padilla averaged nearly six digs per set as the Colonels picked up a pair of 3-0 wins.
Notable Performances:
- Syd Bietz (Centre) - made it four straight games with double digit kills as she combined for 36 kills across three games this week. She was the only Centre player to hit double digit kills in all three games. In a pair of 3-0 victories at Rhodes and Hendrix this weekend, Bietz averaged nearly four kills per set as Centre remained unbeaten in conference play.
- Riley Brady (Hendrix) – serves as a momentum changer for the Warriors. She hit .462 and only had one attacking error on the match vs Centre. The sophomore earned 3.5 points per set as a middle and also had two service aces.
- Kohler Briella (Oglethorpe) - posted a team-high 14 kills alongside 23 digs in the only match of the week. She had several during crucial moments of the match as the Stormy Petrels nearly mounted a comeback in their SAA home opener.
- Sandy Bourgeois (Millsaps) – led the Majors defense, averaging 5.14 digs per set.
- Legacy Guider (Oglethorpe) - posted a near career-best 24 digs in Oglethorpe's only match of the week. She was two off her mark that she set the last time out.
