SAA Runners Shine on USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

CANTON, Ga. (January 30, 2025) – The Southern Athletic Association was well represented on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic teams. A total of 12 individuals were named All-Academic Athletes while the conference boasted seven All-Academic Teams.
 
On the men’s side, Berry (3.48 GPA), Centre (3.174 GPA), and Sewanee (3.29 GPA) were honored as All-Academic Teams. Individually, Berry was honored with five and Centre two All-Academic Athletes:

Troy Blackwood - Exercise Science 
T Harris - Exercise Science   
Brooks Johnson - Accounting               
Ethan Smith - Entrepreneurship and Innovation     
Tucker Wright - Business
 
CENTRE
Mitchel Meier - Computer Science  
Reeve VanDemark -History
 
Highlighting the SAA women, Berry (3.52 GPA), Centre (3.278 GPA), Millsaps (3.55 GPA), and Sewanee (3.54 GPA) earned the team award. Individuals include:

To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. Student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
