Athlete of the Week:
Keimarya Rivera | Oglethorpe | SR | Canton, GA – Oglethorpe senior Keimarya Rivera posted two double-doubles in two games this week, leading the Stormy Petrels to two wins and a perfect 3-0 start to the season. She had 14 points and 13 rebounds in a road win over LaGrange during the week before putting up big numbers despite limited minutes in a home win over Huntingdon over the weekend. Oglethorpe ran away with this second win, causing Rivera to play only 20 minutes, but she still had a double-double by halftime and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Notable Performances:
  • Elly Callihan | Berry | SR | Ellijay, GA – Elly averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds to lead a Viking front court that outscored LaGrange and Piedmont 56-36 in points in the paint this past weekend. She also was a force on defense with 3 blocks against LaGrange and a whopping 6 steals against Piedmont.
  • Lilly Reid | Centre | JR | Mount Washington, KY – Lilly Reid was named Tournament MVP of the Jean Beamer Classic this past weekend at Roanoke. Across a pair of Centre victories over Hollins and Roanoke, Reid averaged 18.5 points per game. In Sunday's victory in a true road environment against Roanoke, Reid scored a game high 22 points, with ten of them coming in the fourth quarter as the Colonels outscored the Maroons by eight points in the final period of the 67-59 win.
  • Tia Anderson | Millsaps | JR | Brusly, LA – Millsaps women's basketball junior forward Tia Anderson posted a dominant performance in the Majors' 78-53 win over Centenary on Friday. She tallied 22 points, six rebounds, two blocks, two steals and an assist, shooting 8-of-11 from the floor.
  • Trinity Benitez | Southwestern | JR | Lipan, TX – Junior Trinity Benitez had a dominant weekend that propelled the Pirates to a 2–0 record and their strongest start to a season since 2012–13. Benitez combined for 32 points and 17 rebounds over the two victories, demonstrating her reliability and two-way impact. She opened the weekend with 17 points and 6 boards against the University of the Ozarks on Friday, then followed it with her first double-double of the year on Sunday versus Hendrix College, posting 15 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Kylie Minter | Trinity | SR | League City, TX – Minter averaged 18.0 points per game and shot 50% (12-of-24) from the field to earn a spot on the All-Tournament team and lead the Trinity women's basketball team over the weekend at the Champions Classic Tournament, hosted by #10 Illinois Wesleyan University. She finished the weekend with a 25-point effort in a loss to Millikin, pulling down five rebounds to go with a pair of assists, while hitting 8-of-16 from the field.
