2025 SAA Football All-Conference Awards Announced

CANTON, Ga. - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) has announced the 2025 Football All-Conference teams and major award winners.

SAA champion, Berry landed the Coaching Staff of the Year and held the Defensive Athlete of the Year, Michael Clark. Maryville's Bryson Rollins captured the Offensive Athlete of the Year award while Centre's Cree Ross brings in the Special Teams Athlete of the Year honor. The 2025 Rookie of the Year is Grant Bizjack of Millsaps.

All-SAA voting and selection of the All-Sportsmanship team was conducted among the conference's eight head coaches.

Offensive Athlete of the Year - Bryson Rollins | Maryville | SR | Elizabethton, TN
Captain, Bryson Rollins has been a dominant force in the SAA this season and captured five of the eleven offensive athlete of the week awards. The QB has led the Scots to a 7-3 overall record with over 3000 passing yards on the season for 28 touchdowns. His biggest game was at Ohio Wesleyan where he threw for 502 yards and five touchdowns.

Defensive Athlete of the Year - Michael Clark | Berry | SR | McDonough, GA
Clark has been an integral part of the Vikings success. He has led a defense that holds opponents to 11.90 points per game, which leads the SAA. The Viking defense has only allowed 44 third down conversions across their ten games for a completion percentage of 34.11.

Special Teams Athlete of the Year - Cree Ross | Centre | JR | Panama City, FL
The two-time SAA Athlete of the Week has accumulated 554 yards on returns with three touchdowns this season. He has a long of 100 yards in a return and averages close to 37 yards a return. Ross is only the second Centre Athlete to earn this award, the last was Jordan Gay in 2012.

Rookie of the Year - Grant Bizjack | Millsaps | FR | Trophy Club, TX
The rookie from Texas has also accumulated five offensive athlete of the week honors this season. Between he and Rollins only one other athlete earned the award. Bizjack has posted big numbers throughout the season. The freshman has thrown for over 2200 yards with only five interceptions. He has 21 touchdowns and a long of 75 this season. His biggest game came at Hendrix where he threw for 352 yards and five touchdowns. He is the first Millsaps athlete to earn Rookie of the Year honors in the SAA.

Coaching Staff of the Year - Berry College
Under the lead of head coach Tony Kunczewski, the Vikings lead the SAA in offense and defense and just completed a perfect 7-0 run in conference play to secure a first round bye in the NCAA tournament. Berry has had tremendous success this season and only lost one regular season game back in September to No. 22 Carnegie Mellon on the road. Kunczewski adds his sixth SAA coach of the year honor.
