Athletes of the Week: 
Offense: 
Marlin Price | Sewanee | SR | Carrollton, VA - Marlin Price played a key role in Sewanee’s undefeated opening weekend, totaling eight goals and three assists on 13 shots (.625). While managing a face-guard assignment, she also recorded four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the season opener.

Defense: 
Ella Townsend | Sewanee | JR | Austin, TX -Ella Townsend anchored the Tigers’ defense in the season opener against University of Wisconsin–River Falls, accounting for seven of Sewanee’s 17 caused turnovers (River Falls finished with six as a team). On the weekend, she totaled eight caused turnovers, added a goal and a ground ball, and helped hold opponents under 20 shots per game.

Offense
  • Dani Taraska | Berry | SR | Bradenton, FL - A senior from Bradenton, FL Taraska helped lead the Vikings offense in a 7-6 win over Virginia Wesleyan with four goals and one assist.
  • Audrey Haines | Centre | SO | Lexington, KY -Against Muskingum, Audrey recorded season highs across multiple offensive categories. She finished the game with 10 shots, all of which were on goal, scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists for a total of 9 points. 
Defense
  • Elisabeth Vickery | Berry | JR | Westlake, TX - A junior defender from Westlake, TX Vickrey helped lead the Vikings to a 7-6 win over Virginia Wesleyan with one caused turnover and four ground balls.
  • Sophia Richardson | Centre | JR | Lexington, KY - Against Muskingum, Audrey defensively, she caused 2 turnovers and secured 6 draw controls. She played 27:00 minutes in the contest.
  • Madelyn Gardner | Oglethorpe | FR | Cumming, GA -Oglethorpe freshman Madelyn Gardner continued her strong play in her debut season with 10 saves in a road loss to Piedmont. She faced 32 total shots and came up with double-digit saves for the second game in a row to start the season.
