CANTON, Ga. - Trinity has been selected as the 2026 preseason favorite for the Southern Athletic Association Women’s Golf title.
The Trinity Tigers totaled 69 points with five first place votes while Sewanee captured four first place nods with 66 points. Oglethorpe and Southwestern tied for third with 51 points each.
Voting was conducted among the SAA’s nine head coaches.

Trinity enters the 2026 Spring season ranked No. 19 in the clippd rankings. This Fall, the team was led by senior Jessica Mason and freshman Mason Fikes who both earned SAA Athlete of the Week honors. The team is coming off their fifth consecutive SCAC Championship.
The University of the South currently ranks along side Trinity in the top 25 of the clippd poll. The team holds two Fall honorees in Natalie Catapano and Jane Stilz who led the team to boost rankings before the close of the 2025 Fall season.
Oglethorpe and Southwestern tie for third in the 2026 preseason poll. For the Petrels, freshman Dounia Bezzari began to make noise before the end of Fall and for the Pirates, Sydney Jackson led the team and garnered two Athlete of the Week honors with stellar performances.
The 2026 SAA Women’s Golf Championship is slated for April 23-26 in Dickson, Tennessee, at Greyston Golf Club.
