Athletes of the Week: 
Singles: 
Trinity Lee | Trinity | SR | Camarillo, CA – Levy led the 12th-ranked Tiger women's tennis team to a 7-0 win over #38 Hope College (MI) in the team's only match last week. Levy clinched the match with her 6-1, 6-2 win at line four and vaulted Trinity to the sweep. She remains unbeaten at 5-0 this season - all at line four for the Tigers.

Doubles: 
Allison Vo | SO | Sugar Land, TX / Eva Kovachev | FR | Arlington, TX  (Trinity) - Vo and Kovachev led #12 Trinity to a 7-0 sweep against #38 Hope College (MI) in its only match last week. The Tiger doubles duo played at line three and earned the clinching point with a 7-5 win to give Trinity an early 1-0 lead.  Vo and Kovachev remain undefeated at 3-0 this season.
 


Notable Performances
Singles:

  • Alexis Oliver | Millsaps | SR | Clarksdale, MS – Millsaps senior tennis student-athlete Alexis Oliver played well on Friday, leading the women's tennis team to a big 7-0 win over the University of the Ozarks. Oliver took control of Court One, easily winning the singles match with scores of 6-0 and 6-1 against her opponent.
  • Lilly Higgins | Rhodes | SO | St. Francisville, LA – Over the weekend, sophomore Lilly Higgins posted a 3–0 record at No. 2 and No. 3 singles against tough opponents in NC Wesleyan, DePauw, and Hendrix. Higgins defeated NC Wesleyan 6–1, 6–1 and Hendrix 6–1, 6–1. She also secured the match-clinching point against DePauw with a 6–2, 6–7, 6–4 victory. Also, in doubles play, she went 2–1 at the No. 1 position. As a team, the Lynx went undefeated on the weekend, defeating NC Wesleyan 5–2, DePauw 4–0, and Hendrix 6–1.
  • Harper High | Sewanee | SO | Tampa, FL – Harper High was 2-0 for the Tigers this week at line two, she defeated Lucy Yung of UC Santa Cruz 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 and collected a straight sets win against Ellise Jay of Occidental, 6-3, 6-2, helping the Tigers win back-to-back matches in California. 
  • Kimberly Duncan | Southwestern | SR | Greenville, SC – Kimberly Duncan delivered a key singles victory for the Pirates at No. 3 singles, defeating her opponent from No. 36 nationally ranked Hope College 6–4, 7–6 (7–3) on Friday. Duncan showed composure in a tightly contested second set, winning the tiebreak to secure the straight-sets victory. Her performance added an important point for Southwestern and kept the Pirates competitive in a close match. 
Doubles:
  • Alexis Oliver  / Riley McClain (Millsaps) - Millsaps women's tennis duo, senior Alexis Oliver and sophomore Riley McClain, topped Court One for the Majors in doubles with an impressive 6-1 victory against the University of the Ozarks. The Majors won the overall match 7-0
  • Sofia Rodriguez  / Violet Taub (Rhodes) - The doubles pair of Sofia Rodriguez and Violet Taub went 3–0 at the No. 3 position over the weekend against tough opponents in NC Wesleyan, Hendrix, and DePauw. The Lynx duo earned a 6–4 win over NC Wesleyan, followed by 6–2 victories against Hendrix and DePauw. Their strong performances in doubles helped propel the Lynx to a 3–0 weekend.
  • Harper High  / Lexi Barbee (Sewanee) - Harper High and Lexi Barbee took care of business at line three doubles for Sewanee, helping the Tigers clinch the doubles point in both matches, dropping just four games overall. Against UC Santa Cruz, High and Barbee defeated Brooklyn Walker and Meleja Hrelick 6-2, and collected another 6-2 win against Occidental’s Lilia Tanabe and Macy McClellan.  
  • Daryl Locke  / Isa Cepeda (Southwestern) - The No. 1 doubles team of Daryl Locke and Isa Cepeda delivered a strong performance for the Pirates, defeating the top pair from No. 36 nationally ranked Hope College 6–4. Their victory at the No. 1 position secured the doubles point for Southwestern and gave the Pirates early momentum in the match. Locke and Cepeda’s win over a nationally ranked opponent highlighted their composure and consistency at the top of the lineup.
