INDIANAPOLIS - The official qualifying list for the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field& Field Championships was released on Sunday evening which boasted ten men and women from the Southern Athletic Association.
On the men's side, Centre placed two to the qualifying list with Beau Brown competing in the 200m and Cree Ross taking on the triple jump. Brown makes his debut after a personal best mark of 21.43 back in December that kept him ranked highly to qualify while Ross ranks 16th in the nation in triple jump with a season best mark of 14.69m which was achieved a week before the conference championship. Last season, Ross posted a top eight national finish in the event.
From Southwestern, Lukas Nowlin, the 2026 SAA Men's Indoor Track & Field high jump champion at 2.06m which ranks him 10th nationally.
Trinity rounds out the qualifiers for the men and Bocar Diagana makes a return to the championship. Diagana ranks 16th in the event this season as he jumped a 14.69m back at the beginning of February as he competed in the FasTrak Collegiate Indoor.
Six women from the SAA made the qualifying list. Beginning with Centre, Serena McNeilly and Chloe Hein are once again headed back to the NCAA championships. Hein ranks 13th nationally in the 60m with a seasonal best mark of 7.58 set at the SAA Championships. Her personal best time of 24.30 also happened at the SAA Championships and currently is tied for sixth in the nation. In the triple jump, Hein's mark of 38-11.5 - yet another personal best set at the SAA Championships - is ranked sixth in the country. And she is the NCAA leader in the long jump after posting the best mark in the history of Division III women's track & field (21-2.5) last week.
McNeilly's top ranked event is the high jump, where she is ranked third nationally after clearing 5-10 at the SAA Championships. In the triple jump, McNeilly's personal best mark of 39-6.5 happened at the Centre Indoor Opener in December and is ranked fifth in the nation. McNeilly qualified seventh in the nation after breaking the school record with 3560 points at Vanderbilt in January. In the long jump, McNeilly hit a personal best mark of 19-0.75 at the SAA Championships, good for 11th in the nation.
Annabelle Lanik of Trinity will join the duo in the long jump. Ranked 5th nationally with her season best mark of 5.91m as a sophomore boasts her into the championship.
The final women from the conference will be Olivia Freeman of Rhodes who is set to compete in the 60m with her season best of 7.62m and Onoyeme Egure of Berry in the shot put where she holds 17th nationally at 13.66m which she obtained at the conference championships. Joining the triple jump SAA representation will be Keri Edwards of Oglethorpe who ranks 18th nationally at 11.74m.
The 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place on March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.
