Atlanta, Ga. – Heading into the final four weeks of the SAA football season, Berry and Rhodes extended winning streaks to keep pace with idle Trinity atop the conference standings.
The Tigers will head into the back half of their schedule as the No. 6 ranked team in the D3football.com poll and looking to run the table in the conference for the third-straight season. Berry is second at 3-1 in the league and ranked 24
th in the nation, bouncing back after a close loss to Trinity by beating its last two opponnets by an average of 50 points per game. The Vikings beat Millsaps 64-7 last week to celebrate Mountain Day on Mount Berry. Rhodes is on a three-game winning streak and coming off a 20-point win over Sewanee to retain the Orgill Cup.
Centre won its homecoming game over Southwestern to highlight the dedication of the new Andy Frye Stadium. Birmingham-Southern welcomed back alumni for its homecoming on Saturday and won its second-straight, getting past Hendrix 16-15.

OFFENSIVE:
Matt McClary | Birmingham-Southern | Junior | Nashville, Tenn. – The dual threat quarterback led Birmingham-Southern to a thrilling 16-15 win over Hendrix on homecoming. The junior was 13-of-24 in the air for 152 yards and a touchdown to complement a 12 rushes for 83 yards and score day on the ground. His touchdown run went for 83-yards to tie the score in the first quarter. McClary secured the win in the fourth with a touchdown throw and two-point conversion.
DEFENSIVE:
Thomas Conroy | Rhodes | Junior | Mascoutah, Ill. – Totaled eight tackles, including five solo stops, to lift the Lynx past Sewanee. The junior tallied three tackles for loss, setting the Tigers back 11 yards and had two sacks for nine yards. Conroy also had a quarterback hurry on the afternoon.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Jack Satterfield | Sewanee | Junior | Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Averaged 51.8 yards per punt with a long of 57 yards, and put two of his four inside the 20 for the Tigers. The junior drilled his only field goal attempt, a 41-yard boot in the first quarter. He also had three kick offs for 149 yards.
Notable Performances:
- Robert Daniel (Rhodes) – Rushed for 131 yards on 24 carries and caught one pass for 24 yards to lead Rhodes over Sewanee in the Orgill Cup.
- Will McDaniel (Centre) – Racked up 106 yards on the ground with just 12 carries to left Centre past Southwestern on homecoming in Danville.
- Zion Andres (Millsaps) – Tallied 16 carriers for 130 yards, including an 86-yard touchdown run. He also passed 2-for-4 for five yards.
- Nick Grant (Centre) – Highlighted a thrilling afternoon with a pick-six, running an interception back 33 yards for his first career touchdown. Also knocked down a fourth-down pass and totaled four tackles on the day.
- Jaden Hood (Birmingham-Southern) - Recorded six total tackles with four sacks for a total of 36 yards lost. The newcomer also recorded a quarterback hurry as part of a disruptive Saturday afternoon.
- David Attachu (Berry) – Filled the stat sheet with two tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception, leading Berry to a 64-7 win over Millsaps.
- Ethan Klapatch (Millsaps) – Posted another strong performanc, totaling 325 yards over seven puts for an average of 46.4 yards against Berry. The junior had a long punt of 50-yards and dropped two inside the 20-yard line to go along with two kickoffs for 110 yards.
- Cole Porch (Birmingham-Southern) – Totaled seven punts for 283 yards, averaging 40.4 yards per kick.
