CANTON, Ga. – Three SAA squads were in action last week. Centre had a busy weekend, beating NAIA nationally ranked Campbellsvile on Friday and then turning around to sweep a double dual from union and Shawnee State on Saturday. Rhodes hosted UT-Southern and won big while Berry topped Emmanuel on the road.

SWIMMER:
Nick Fonzo | Berry | Sophomore | Carlsbad, Calif. - The reigning SAA Newcomer of the year is no shy to spotlight, he claimed the fastest time in the conference at this meet in two categories: the 50 back (in his split in the medley) with a time of 23.81 and in the 200 yard backstroke with an amazing time of 1:57.41. The now sophomore continued to gain points for his team with more big performances in the 200 yard free (1:46.64, the second fastest time in the SAA) and in the 300 yard fly (1:58.88, the third fastest time in SAA). He also had four first place finishes in the meet.
DIVER:
Brandon Anderson | Centre | Junior | Louisville, Ky. - reached two NCAA Regional cuts on the boards over the weekend. The junior scored a 302.75 in the one-meter dive and a 321.75 in the three-meter dive. The Louisville native finished those events in second and third place respectively.
Notable Performance:
- Brady Miller (Centre) - broke the Centre program record in the 1000 freestyle for the second time this season with a 9:39.10 showing in a double dual with Union Commonwealth and Shawnee State. That time was the fastest in all of Division III this season. No other SAA swimmers currently rank within the top 60 of that event.
