CANTON, Ga.  -  SAA preseason favorite Millsaps has reeled off four-straight wins and holds the conference’s best record at 5-1 heading into the final week of November. The Majors offense put up at least 80 points in the three wins, beating Belhaven, Centenary and Emory by an average of 21 points per game. Berry is 4-1 on the season, taking its first loss of the year to Hanover but bouncing back with a big win over Maryville. Centre at 6-2 and Oglethorpe at 4-2 are also above .500 in the early season.

Athletes of the Week:
Haley Franklin | Millsaps | Senior | Baton Rouge, La. – the reigning SAA Player of the Year was electric last week, helping the Majors to wins over Belhaven (92-78), Centenary (81-59) and Emory (82-54). She averaged 22.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.7 steals per game on 59 percent shooting (23-of-39). In Sunday's win hosting Emory, Franklin netted 34 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block to hand the Eagles their first loss of the season.
 
Notable Performances:
  • Sylvia Kahoro (Berry) - stood out among competition against Hanover this weekend, going for 19-points with four triples on her way to shooting 50% from behind the arc. She also snagged four rebounds and three steals against the tough team. The next day against Maryville she still put up double-digits, 12-points only playing in half of the game.
  • Bailey Rucker (Centre) - tallied two double doubles in a week that saw the Colonels win two games. She tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds versus Asbury and scored 15 points and grabbed 10 boards against Maryville. The senior played at least 20 minutes in each contest.
  • Keimarya Rivera (Oglethorpe) - had two near double-doubles, in Stormy Petrels wins over CCS competition. She posted 13 points and nine rebounds against Agnes Scott, followed by 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four steals against Wesleyan.
  • Olivia Falvey (Sewanee) - delivered a standout performance this week, highlighted by matching her career-high with 26 points in Sewanee's win over Warren Wilson on Saturday. Falvey was efficient from the floor, shooting 71% overall (10-of-14) and an impressive 80% from beyond the arc (4-of-5). She also contributed four rebounds and a steal to cap off her stellar performance.
  • Avery Marsh (Rhodes) – Averaged 17.5 points over two games, netting 18 against UT Dallas and 16 versus East Texas Baptist.
