CANTON, Ga.  – Rollins lands his fifth athlete of the week honor to highlight week nine of SAA football. Depolitte and Lanham land their first honors of the season.

Offensive:
Bryson Rollins | Maryville | SR | Elizabethtown, TN – The junior quarterback completed 24-of-31 passes for 301 yards and five touchdowns(all to different receivers), spreading the ball to eight different receivers while guiding an offense that averaged 7.4 yards per play and scored on six drives. Rollins also rushed for a net 56 yards (51 of which came on one run).
 
Defensive:
Peyton Depolitte | Millsaps | FR | Metairie, LA – Millsaps football freshman defensive back Peyton Depolitte provided the game-clinching interception in a 27-24 victory over Southwestern on Saturday. Depolitte intercepted the pass at the Millsaps 20-yard line and returned it seven yards, sliding down with only 13 seconds remaining in the game. The Pirates reached Millsaps territory and were looking to make field-goal range, but were stopped by Depolitte. He also added five tackles at Harper Davis Field in Jackson, Miss.
 
Special Teams:
Chase Lanham | Southwestern | FR | Frisco, TX – Lanham was active on Saturday with a career-high total of 375 yards of punting distance on eight punts. Lanham had a long of 59 yards. He racked up three punts over 50 yards and one fair catch. Lanham went 1 for 1 on field goals with a huge 32-yard kick before halftime.

Offense
  • Christian Lewis | Berry | SR | Calhoun, GA – Christian Lewis paced the Viking offense with 223 yards on 17/25 passing (longest completion was 41 yards) and 2 big passing touchdowns to pull away from the Colonels.
  • Blake Busson | Centre | SR | Lexington, KY – Blake Busson got one step closer to the Centre career receiving record in Saturday's game against Berry. Busson averaged over 25 yards per catch as he caught seven passes for a career high 194 yards, putting him less than 200 yards away from setting the program record for most receiving yards in a career.
  • Tameron Patterons | Millsaps | JR | Corinth, MS – Millsaps junior running back Tameron Patterson had a terrific outing helping the Majors better Southwestern, 27-24 on Saturday. He tallied 94 rushing yards off 15 carries (6.4-yard average) and scored on the ground. Patterson added a receiving score off three receptions, totaling 23 yards.
  • Graydon Thompson | Southwestern | JR | Dallas, TX – Thompson had another dominant weekend scoring his eighth, ninth, and tenth touchdowns of the season. The mark set a new all-time single-season school record for touchdowns. Thompson scored three touchdowns on ten catches and 106 yards. The junior scored two touchdowns in the first quarter to set the tone and one in the fourth to cut the deficit to three. 
  • Hondo Franklin | Trinity | SO | Allen, TX – Franklin led #22 Trinity University to a convincing 32-3 win over Sewanee on Saturday afternoon. He accounted for four of the team's five touchdowns, completing 16-of-23 passes for 261 yards and three scores. Franklin also ran in another score and caught a 51-yard pass that pushed him over 300 yards passing and receiving in the game. 
 
Defense
  • Jaden Melville | Berry  | GR | Duluth, GA – Jaden Melville lived in the Centre defensive backfield with 3 tackles, 3 QB hurries, and a sack to cap off his day rushing off the edge. 
  • Seth Carter | Maryville | SR | Brentwood, TN – Carter led the Scots with 14 total tackles, which ranks as the second most in the conference in a single game this season. 
  • Braeden Cundiff | Southwestern | SO | New Braunfels, TX – Cundiff had a breakout game with a career high nine tackles with 2.5 tackles for a loss. The sophomore racked up 1.5 sacks against one of the conferences best offenses. His sacks were on back-to-back plays giving the Pirates a big stop and getting off the field in the 4th quarter. 
  • Dorien Hill | Trinity | SO | Buda, TX – Hill led the 22nd-ranked Trinity football team to a convincing 32-3 win over Sewanee on Saturday afternoon. The TU Tigers held Sewanee to just 218 total yards and a mere 104 yards passing. Hill piled up a career-high 12 tackles that included 1.5 tackles for loss. 
 
Special Teams
  • Cade Petty | Berry | SR | Chattsworth, GA – Cade Petty's blocked punt streak continues, with his third block in as many weeks to set up the Vikings near the plus side of the field to set up a Viking touchdown.
  • Jackson White | Maryville | FR | Orlando, FL – In his debut as the team's place kicker this season, White made all 6 extra point attempts while also handling the kickoff duties, with 7 kickoffs for 430 yards, including 2 touchbacks and no kicks out of bounds.
  • Davis Dare | Millsaps | SO | Tuscaloosa, AL –Millsaps football sophomore wide receiver and kick returner Davis Dare had a strong showing in the Majors' 27-24 win over Southwestern on Saturday. He was a difference maker, helping Millsaps control field position, totaling six returns for 95 yards. Dare returned four punts for 54 yards and two kickoffs for 41 yards.
  • Jackson Runyan | Trinity | SO | Frisco, TX – Runyan led the 22nd-ranked Trinity football team to a convincing 32-3 win over Sewanee on Saturday afternoon. He made the most out of his chances as both a punter and a kicker, averaging 45.7 yards per punt (3 punts, 137 yards) with a long of 54 yards. He also averaged just over 60 yards on two kickoff chances, piling up 121 yards.
