CANTON, Ga. - Week five of Collegiate Field Hockey Conference action posted Sewanee and Concordia athletes as athletes of the week.

Athletes of the Week
Offense:
Molly Haskell | Sewanee | JR | Charlotte, N.C. – Molly Haskell scored two goals for Sewanee as they opened their conference play against Centre on Saturday afternoon. Haskell scored the opening and closing goals for the Tigers. 

Defense:
Leah Mouganis | Concordia | SR | Pittsburgh, PA – Anchored the Condordia defense and held the high-powered Marian offense to only one shot on goal on Saturday … Not only did she help lock down the Sabre offense, she added two assists in the victory off two penalty corners. 
 

 Notable Performances:

Offense
  • Kaitlin Baylen | Concordia | SO | Antioch, IL – Opened the day with an assist on the first goal of the game against Marian … She then scored the game-winning goal on a diving shot to open CFHC play with a victory over Marian. 
  • Katie Royle | Mary Washington | SR | Virginia Beach, VA – Mary Washington Katie Royle scored the game winner in overtime, as the 25th ranked Eagles edged Randolph-Macon, 3-2, on Wednesday to improve to 6-2 on the season. It was her first score of the season.
Defense
  • Elizabeth Stribling | Mary Washington | SR | Fairfax, VA – Senior defender Elizabeth Stribling made a pair of key defensive saves, as #25 Mary Washington edged Randolph-Macon College on Wednesday. Stribling prevented one shot from going in in the first quarter, and another in the fourth, to preserve the tied score to overtime, where the Eagles found the game winner.
  • Meredith Dunn | Rhodes | JR | St. Louis, MO – Contributed a goal and an assist in a 5-3 victory against Maryville.  Facilitated much of the attack through her attacking center midfielder position.
  • Kylie Carter | Sewanee | JR | Fort Worth, TX – Kylie Carter anchored the Tigers' backline, allowing just three shots, two on target, and recording a defensive save in the conference opener against Centre.
