Atlanta, Ga. – Scoreboards around the SAA were lit up Saturday with all four winners eclipsing 50 points. The standings remained relatively unchanged after week eight of the season with top teams taking care of business.
Fifth-ranked Trinity won the battle of Texas over Southwestern 57-7, running their winning streak to six in a row. No. 24 Berry put up 61 points in a 38-point win over Sewanee while Centre topped Millsaps 59-20. Hendrix got past Rhodes in a high-scoring thriller 50-49, with the Warriors denying the Lynx on a two-point conversion with 21 seconds left.
Three weeks remain in the SAA regular season with seven teams still alive in the race for the conference title and NCAA playoffs automatic qualifier.

OFFENSIVE:
Brandon Cade | Berry | Junior | Duluth, Ga. – Rushed for a career-high 293 yards with four touchdowns on 13 carries, leading the 24
th-ranked Vikings to a big win over Sewanee. The first touchdown came on a three-yard run in the first quarter. He then ripped of a 68-yard touchdown run and followed with a four-yard score in the second quarter. Cade ended his day with an 80-yard touchdown run in the fourth. The junior also had one catch for nine yards to put him at 302 yard for the day.
DEFENSIVE:
Mac Douglas | Trinity | Fifth-year | Fairhope, Ala. – Douglas and the Tiger defense led fifth-ranked Trinity to a 57-7 victory over Southwestern on Saturday afternoon, marking the team's sixth consecutive victory. Douglas piled up a team-best eight tackles that included 1.5 tackles for loss and a shared sack, while also limiting Southwestern to just 165 yards of offense that included a stifling total of 49 yards rushing on 35 carries.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Nate Lyons | Berry | Sophomore | Smyrna, Ga. – Rolled up six punt returns for 101 yards including a 66 yard return for a touchdown, his second punt return for a TD of the season.
Notable Performances:
- Tucker Horn (Trinity) - produced his third 300-yard passing game of the season in #6 Trinity's 57-7 win over Southwestern on Saturday, connecting on 23-of-30 through the air for 352 yards and four touchdowns. He put up those numbers despite leaving the lopsided game after two possessions of the third quarter. Horn and the Tigers finished with a school-record 560 yards passing and 710 yards of total offense in the win.
- Gray Jennings (Millsaps) – Enjoyed a strong day through the air for the Majors. The newcomer finished 19-of-33 passing with 295 yards and three passing touchdowns, accounting for all three Millsaps scores.
- Umikoa Kealoha (Rhodes) – Hauled in six receptions for 102 yards and three touchdowns.
- James Jones (Millsaps) - Finished the Majors homecoming game with Centre with a career-high seven tackles, all of which were solo stops.
- Thomas Conroy (Rhodes) – Racked up seven tackles and two quarterback hurries in the Rhodes thriller with Hendrix.
- Tyler Huettel (Trinity) - Broke Trinity's single-game record for touchbacks, going 10-for-10 in Saturday's win. He was 1-for-2 on field goals, but his only miss came from 52 yards. Huettel also connected on a career-high six PATs, finishing 6-of-7 in the game.
- Tae Hills (Millsaps) - Enjoyed a strong day on special teams in the Majors' Homecoming matchup with Centre on Saturday. He returned five kickoffs for 102 yards, including a long of 40 yards.
- Cam Tegge (Centre) - Hit a 34-yard field goal - his eighth straight make of the year - while also making all six of his extra point attempts in the 59-20 win. He also had a pair of kickoffs that were recovered by the Colonels and converted into short touchdown drives.
