CANTON, Ga. – Four teams were in the pool during the final weekend of October. Hendrix hosted its 60
th annual relay event on Friday and 55
th annual Classic on Saturday. Millsaps fell to Centenary and Sewanee was tripped up on the road by Emory. Centre traveled to Crawfordsville, Indiana and beat Albion 207-83.

SWIMMER:
Ella Deitch | Sewanee | First Year | Arnold, Md. – led Sewanee in a trip to Emory. The newcomer swam the fastest SAA time in the 500 freestyle with a 5:21.75. She also placed third in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:02.34 and recorded a 2:17.50 in the 200 IM. Deitch finished as the fifth-highest scorer in the meet.
DIVER:
Katie Walker | Sewanee | Senior | York, S.C. - competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at Emory, completing six dives in each. On the 1-meter, she placed fourth with 183.52 points, finishing behind three NCAA qualifiers. She also scored 178.20 points on the 3-meter for another fourth-place finish.
Notable Performance:
- Kat Burns (Millsaps) - competed well against Centenary College at GRIT Training in Flowood, Miss. on Saturday afternoon. Burns set the tone by finishing first in both the 50-yard freestyle (26.82 seconds) and 100-yard freestyle (58.63 seconds). She also placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.58), while also helping the 200-yard medley relay secure a runner-up performance.
- Sarah Feild (Centre) - had a strong weekend in Centre’s win over Albion. The freshman earned a season-best time in her 500 freestyle (5:22.94) win and also won the 200 freestyle (2:01.97).
