CANTON, Ga. – A trio of SAA teams were in action over the weekend, highlighted by 15
th-ranked Berry going 2-0. Rhodes had the busiest week, falling twice to Mississippi University for Women and splitting the Talladega. Millsaps battled with Centenary and fell in two close games.

Paige Bennett | Berry | Senior | Marietta, Ga. – led Berry to a convincing sweep over LaGrange to start the season. The senior hit .714 in the two games, going 4-7 at the plate with three runs scored and two RBI, including a double in the nightcap.
Pitcher:
Hannah Gore | Berry | Senior | Roswell, Ga. – tossed a complete game shutout over LaGrange, scattering five hits while fanning eight. Her effort led Berry to a 3-0 win over the Panthers.
Notable Performances:
Allana Vasquez (Millsaps) - had a strong doubleheader at the plate for the Majors at Centenary College on Saturday. She batted 4-for-7 with two doubles, an RBI, walk and scored a run. In the circle, she pitched a terrific game in a narrow 4-3 defeat in nine innings at Centenary. She tossed 8.1 innings and 116 pitches with seven strikeouts. Vasquez only surrendered one earned run and one walk against eight hits.
Jasmyn Stanley (Rhodes) - had an outstanding first weekend, hitting .500 and committing zero errors on defense. She played every inning of all four games, going 5-10 with 1 runs scored and two RBIs.
Gina Dudley (Rhodes) - threw 11 innings, including seven in a complete game win over Mississippi University for Women. The junior allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out two, leading Rhodes to an 8-4 win.
