SAA Men’s Tennis Report – March 18, 2025

CANTON, Ga.  – After a busy few weeks of spring break trips, SAA men’s tennis teams return to campus and continue gearing up for conference play. Rhodes boasts the top dual match record at 7-3 while Oglethorpe is 5-3. Centre sits at 4-3 with Sewanee and Hendrix both 4-4.

Athletes of the Week:
SINGLES
Carson Chassaignac | Millsaps | Senior | Baton Rouge, La. - finished his last three matches at Spring Break Tennis with a 2-1 record in Orlando. He bested foes from University of Northwestern - St. Paul (6-1, 6-1) and Piedmont University (7-5, 6-2) on Court Two.
 
DOUBLES:
Anderson Dulaney | Millsaps | Senior | Long Beach, Miss.
Sam Tuli | Millsaps | Junior | Oceans Springs, Miss.
The tandem recorded a 3-1 record in their last four matches at Spring Break Tennis in Orlando. The duo bested foes from University of Northwestern - St. Paul (7-6), Piedmont University (6-4) and Connecticut College (7-5) on Court One. 
 
Notable Performances:
  • Jordan Theron (Sewanee) -  went 2-1 in California.. Lost to Pomona Pitzer.  Defeated UC Santa Cruz and nationally ranked Michael Melnikov from Swarthmore in California.  
  • Remi Jakobi/Ben Lammert (Sewanee) - Went 3-1 in California. Wins against NAIA Westmont College at #1 doubles, UC Santa Cruz at #2 doubles, and Swarthmore College at #3 doubles. Lost to Pomona Pitzer 7-6.
