Athletes of the Week:
Offense:
Jikke Biemans | Marian | SR | Rijen, Netherlands – Senior Jikke Biemans had the fifth hat trick of her career to lead Marian past Wittenberg 5-1. Biemans scored the first goal of the game and then put the game out of reach with two second-half scores. The victory pushed Marian to a 4-0 start for the first time in program history.
Defense:
Lora Chandler | Rhodes | JR | Mechanicsville, VA – Junior midfielder/defender Lora Chandler anchored the Lynx back line with a standout defensive performance against two strong ODAC opponents. In Rhodes’ matchup with nationally ranked Washington and Lee, Chandler held the Generals to just one shot in the opening half, demonstrating her ability to organize and lead the defense against a top national program. She followed that effort by playing the full 60 minutes in a 1-0 shutout win over Roanoke, helping secure the clean sheet with her composure and positioning. Chandler’s consistency and defensive presence were critical in limiting offensive chances and stabilizing the Lynx backfield throughout the weekend.
Offense Notable Performances:

Across the two-match road trip, she recorded three shots and one shot on goal, but it was her decisive strike against Roanoke that highlighted her ability to capitalize on key moments. Spina’s performance not only lifted Rhodes to a crucial win but also underscored her role as a clutch scorer in the Lynx attack.
