Pitcher: 
JJ Sweat | Berry | FR | Dallas, GA –A freshman from Dallas, GA Sweat continued her great start with the Vikings as she picked up her second win throwing a complete game 7 inning shutout while striking out 11 batters on 101 pitches in a 4-0 win.

Athlete: 
Brinley Muller | Centre | FR | Metairie, LA – In her collegiate debut and batting 2nd in both games vs Kenyon, Brinley Muller went 5-for-7 and reached base in 7 of 9 total plate appearances. She also stole 3 bases without being caught as Centre swept Kenyon in a doubleheader on Opening Day.

Pitcher

  • Ashley Howard | Centre | SO | Harrodsburg, KY – In Centre's 12-3 win over Kenyon, Ashley Howard pitched all 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on just 4 hits with 3 strikeouts. She also cleanly fielded the only ball hit back in play to her.
  • Megan Kriechbaum | Trinity | JR | Cedar Hills, Utah – Kriechbaum pitched Trinity's softball team to a doubleheader sweep over Whitworth on Sunday afternoon, earning the win in the second game to finish off the day. Kriechbaum pitched a three-hit shutout, striking out eight batters in the five-inning game. She improved to 1-1 this season with the win, lowering her ERA to 3.82 over three outings, and recording more strikeouts this weekend (8) than she had in her first two outings this year (7).

  • Lauren Cothern | Berry | SR | Sugar Hill, GA –A senior from Sugar Hill, GA Cothern led the Vikings to a doubleheader sweep of Covenant College. She went 4-for-8 (.500 AVG) at the plate with one home run and 5 RBIs as the Vikings won 13-1 and 4-0 to improve to 4-0 on the season.
  • Isabella Barber | Rhodes | FR | Fredericksburg, VA – Freshman Isabela Barber hit .571 in 14 at bats with 8 hits and 5 RBI's against Maryville College and Lyon College. Barbers stellar defense held down both corners in all 4 games helping Rhodes secure 3 wins. Her bat was super clutch and she got critical RBI's when the team needed them most. 
  • Hannah Boudreaux | Trinity | JR | Pearland, TX – Boudreaux led the Tiger softball team to a doubleheader sweep in their 2026 home openers on Sunday, improving the team's overall record to 5-1 to start the year. Boudreaux went 3-for-6 with two runs scored and one RBI in the game, but it was her final hit of game one that ruled the day. With one out in the bottom of the eighth, she smashed a walk-off home run over the fence in right-center field to lift Trinity to a 2-1 win. That also woke up the offense, which proceeded to score seven runs in the first inning on its way to an 8-0 victory that completed the sweep.
