Athletes of the Week: 
Offense: 
Ellen Lewis | Sewanee | FR | Richmond, VA - Ellen Lewis led all players this weekend with seven points, contributing to half of Sewanee’s 14 goals in the win over NAIA Life. Her five goals and two assists led all players on the day. The freshman had a complete game both offensively and defensively, helping Sewanee on the ride unit. Lewis’s seven draws paces both teams and was critical in helping outpace Life 19-8 on the draw. Lewis also sparked the Tigers defensively adding two caused turnovers and three ground balls as an attacker. 

Defense: 
Sally Whitehead | Sewanee | SR | Austin, TX - Sally Whitehead was critical in Sewanee’s win over NAIA Life on Sunday afternoon, as her work in the Tigers' defensive end accounted for two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls. The midfielder was also critical for Sewanee’s offense and helped turn the tide in Sewanee’s favor. Her assist in the third gave Sewanee its first lead of the game at 8-7, and her two goals in the fourth tied the score at 11-11 and scored the game-winning goal with three minutes to go.

Offense
  • Audrey Haines | Centre | SO | Lexington, KY - Audrey Haines delivered a standout performance, finishing with 1 goal and 1 assist while consistently applying offensive pressure. She recorded 8 total shots, 6 of which were on goal, showcasing both her aggressiveness and accuracy in attack. In addition to her scoring contributions, Haines battled hard in possession, collecting 3 ground balls and making a strong impact on both ends of the field.
  • Caroline Kardian | Rhodes - Caroline Kardian powered the Lynx offense in Rhodes’ 20–4 victory, delivering an elite six-point performance. Kardian finished with four goals and two assists on six shots, directly contributing to six of Rhodes’ 20 scores. She added impact beyond scoring with five draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover while helping Rhodes dominate possession throughout the contest. Kardian’s early scoring surge helped fuel a 10-goal first quarter
  • Sydney Martin | Southwestern | JR | San Antonio, TX - Martin was phenomenal in both games on the opening weekend in a 1-1 split. On Friday, Martin scored all four of the Pirates fourth period goals, silencing Pacific Lutheran with a 8-5 win. The junior finished the weekend with seven goals as Martin scored three times on Sunday in a narrow 11-9 loss. 
Defense
  • Madelyn Gardner | Oglethorpe | FR | Cumming, GA - Oglethorpe freshman Madelyn Gardner put up another strong effort tending the net for the Stormy Petrels this past week in the lone game of the week. She faced 49 total shots and made 14 saves, marking her third straight double-digit save effort through three games of her debut campaign. Gardner made several of these stops at close range to help keep the score close against a strong Meredith team.
  • Maddie Bevier | Rhodes - Maddie Bevier anchored a dominant defensive effort in Rhodes’ 20–4 win, stuffing the stat sheet with contributions across the field. Bevier recorded three caused turnovers, three ground balls, and three draw controls while helping limit Piedmont to just four goals on 11 shots.
  • Hannah Colvin | Southwestern | SO | Las Vegas, NV - Colvin played a monumental factor in the Pirates opening night 8-5 win over Pacific Lutheran on Friday with 7 saves, 5 goals allowed, on a .583 save percentage. Colvin allowed seven goals against Puget Sound in a loss on Sunday.
