Athletes of the Week
Offense:
Grayson White | Sewanee | JR | Columbia, S.C. – Grayson White scored two goals and added an assist for the Tigers on Sunday against RV East Texas Baptist. On Friday against LeTourneau, he added a goal and an assist. White finished the weekend with three goals and two assists across 70 minutes of action.

Defense:
TJ Bass | Southwestern | SO | Houston, TX – Bass helped the Pirates earn two shutouts playing almost 180 minutes this weekend between the pipes as he's now recorded four straight clean sheets. Bass had eight saves in two games and countless plays in the air on crosses, completely dominating the air.

Offense
  • Luke Grant | Rhodes | SR | San Diego, CA – Grant powered the Rhodes attack during a 2-0 week, scoring three goals for six points as the Lynx outscored their opponents 9-1. He opened the week with two goals in a 6-1 victory over East Texas Baptist, scoring in the 11th minute to give Rhodes an early lead before adding his second goal early in the second half. Grant finished the match with four shots, all four on goal. He followed with another goal in Rhodes’ 3-0 shutout of LeTourneau, converting a penalty kick in the 66th minute to extend the Lynx lead to 3-0. Across the two victories, Grant recorded three goals on six shots, placing all six attempts on goal, while helping Rhodes improve to 4-0-3 on the season.

Defense
  • Cooper Cherry | Berry | SR | Canton, GA – Cherry had another strong week for the Vikings by making 11 total saves across two matches against Covenant and LaGrange. He made three against the Scots and eight against the Panthers, earning a 3-0 shutout win on the road despite a long lighting delay and playing all 180 minutes.
  • Sebastian Lewis | Oglethorpe | SO | Roswell, GA – Oglethorpe goalkeeper Sebastian Lewis continued the outstanding start to his sophomore campaign by posting two clean sheets across 180 minutes tending the net this week. He picked up a win in the first game, a 2-0 decision over McMurry, before putting up five saves in a scoreless draw against Pfeiffer. The five saves against Pfeiffer all came in the second half and included one on a one-on-one situation from close range where Lewis denied the scoring opportunity to keep the game a draw. 
  • Henri Kettner | Rhodes | JR | Las Vegas, NV – Kettner anchored the Rhodes defense during a 2-0 week, helping the Lynx allow just one goal across two victories. He played 78:45 in Rhodes’ 6-1 win over East Texas Baptist, allowing one goal as the Lynx limited ETBU to just six total shots and one shot on goal. Kettner followed with 80:04 of shutout soccer in a 3-0 victory over LeTourneau, recording two saves while facing just four total shots. Across the two matches, Kettner played 158:49 in goal, surrendered just one goal and helped Rhodes post a 3-0 shutout while improving to 4-0-3 on the season.
  • Alex Baltov | Trinity | JR | Shreveport, LA – Baltov led Trinity’s men’s soccer team to wins over both Hardin-Simmons University and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor this past weekend. The Tigers won 1-0 at UMHB on Friday, then came home and netted a 4-0 win over HSU. Baltov and the Trinity defense recorded their first shutouts of the season this weekend, limiting HSU to just one shut in Sunday’s weekend finale. He also scored the game-winner against UMHB in the 77th minute, then assisted on Sunday’s eventual game-winner in the first half of play.
