Athletes of the Week
Offense:
Sebastian Lewis | Oglethorpe | SO | Roswell, GA – Oglethorpe sophomore goalkeeper Sebastian Lewis did a bit of everything for the Stormy Petrels last week. He posted great goalkeeping numbers on the defensive end but also provided the Stormy Petrels with their only goal of the week, scoring the winner in a rainy home game Sunday evening. It was all tied at 0-0 in the 86th minute with rain pouring down when he stepped to the penalty spot and converted the PK for the first goal of his career.
Defense:
Henri Kettner | Rhodes | JR | Las Vegas, NV – Two Shutouts to start conference play against Sewanee and Maryville. Kettner has a total of 12 saves over the weekend, 3 against Sewanee and 9 against Maryville.
Notable Performances
Defense
- Jaxon Champ | Berry | JR | Woodstock, GA – Champ anchored the Berry defense in back-to-back wins over Oglethorpe and Centre this week. He played all 90 minutes against the Stormy Petrels, leading the Vikings to shutout victory 1-0. Two days later, he was even better against the Colonels. He once again played all 90 minutes in Berry's 3-1 win, helping hold Centre to just seven shots all game and just three shots on goal.
