Athletes of the Week
Offense:
Grey Richards | Southwestern | SO | San Antonio, TX – Richards was fantastic this weekend once again, helping the Pirates beat Millsaps and Rhodes to win the Regular Season Title. Grey scored both goals in a 2-1 win versus Millsaps on Friday for his ninth and tenth of the season. On Sunday, he contributed two assists which clinched the title. Grey finished the regular season with an incredible 10 goals, 4 assists, and 5 game-winners. Above all else, Grey is a gamer in the biggest moments.
Defense:
Daniel Urquidi | Trinity | JR | Round Rock, TX – Urquidi anchored a Trinity defensive unit that recorded consecutive shutouts in wins over Rhodes (2-0) and Millsaps (3-0), helping the Tigers finish conference play unbeaten at 6-0-2. Urquidi started both matches and played 176 minutes across the two victories, helping limit opponents to just nine combined shots and three shots on goal while the Tigers secured their second and third consecutive clean sheets.

Offense
- Luke Mayfield | Trinity | SR | Dallas, TX – Mayfield scored the game-winning goal in both of Trinity's victories during the week, helping the Tigers earn a 2-0 win over Rhodes and a 3-0 shutout of Millsaps to finish the regular season unbeaten in SAA play. Mayfield opened the scoring against Rhodes in the 27th minute before finding the net again just 3:39 into the second half against Millsaps.
Defense
- Jaxon Champ | Berry | JR | Woodstock, GA – Champ closed out the regular season with back-to-back gems against Sewanee and Maryville this past weekend. Thanks to his stellar play on defense, the Vikings secured consecutive 3-1 wins over their opponent to lock down the third seed going into the SAA Tournament. They held Maryville to just six shots all game, and shut out Sewanee for the rest of the game after an opening minute goal.
