Atlanta, Ga. – Berry clinched at least a share of its fourth-straight SAA regular season championship and locked in the tournament’s No. 1 seed with a 2-0 weekend. The 13
th-ranked Vikings ran their winning streak to eight and stayed perfect in league play at 12-0.
Centre has won its last three-straight and is second in the conference standings at 10-2 while Sewanee is third at 7-5.

OFFENSIVE:
Laurel Burkhardt | Sewanee | Senior | Hoover, Ala. – Burkhardt hit .235 and .625 as she recorded 21 kills, six blocks, and 10 digs as Sewanee swept Birmingham Southern and Millsaps this weekend. On Sunday, she had 15 kills on 24 attempts with no errors, on Saturday, she had six kills on 17 swings with only two errors. She picked up 24 points for Sewanee this weekend. Sunday was her best performance this year with her highest hitting percent and no errors.
DEFENSIVE:
Kate Whittle | Berry | Senior | Louisville, Ky. – Led the Vikings to a 2-0 weekend to clinch the SAA regular season title and the top-seed in the conference tournament. She recorded two match-high defensive performances, with 18 and 20 digs behind a block that took 17 opportunities from her. On the weekend she recorded a solid 6.3 digs/set, six assists, three aces and 0 reception errors.
Notable Performances:
- Yzzi Dsamou (Rhodes) – Led Rhodes to a 2-1 week, hitting .279 with 38 kills. Against MUW, she hit .517 with 18 kills and just three errors.
- Brooke Palmer (Centre) - Led the Centre offense in kills this week, racking up 25 across three matches. On Sunday against BSC, Palmer had her best game of the year as she finished with a game high nine kills on a season high .444 hitting percentage as the Colonels earned their third consecutive 3-0 sweep of the week.
- Bella Boston (Berry) - Helped the Vikings go 2-0 over the weekend. She averaged a hitting .284 hitting percentage and recorded 3.17 kills/set. Her match-high 12 kills (.346 hitting percentage) against Hendrix on Sunday helped the Vikings to victory and clinch the SAA Regular Season Championship.
- Camryn Presley (Hendrix) – Enjoyed a big weekend with .317 attacking percentage and earned 2.83 k/s. She had a double-double against Oglethorpe with 14 kills and 15 digs. The senior had an all-around standout weekend, reaching the 1,000 digs milestone.
- Maggie Mathis (Rhodes) – Led the Lynx to a 201 record with 36 digs over nine sets. She closed the weekend with 16 in a 3-0 sweep of Oglethorpe.
