Atlanta, Ga. – Conference play opened for four schools with Rhodes earning a sweep to stake its spot atop the SAA standings. Birmingham-Southern earned a series win over Sewanee to sit right behind the Lynx in second. Third-ranked Berry traveled to Columbus, Georgia and took on some of the top teams in the nation, going 2-2 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic to now sit 12-2 on the season.

Athlete of the Week:
PLAYER: Quinn Thompson | Rhodes | First Year | Chesapeake, Va. – led Rhodes to three-straight wins over Centre to start the conference season. The first year hit .625 for the weekend, going 5-for-8 at the plate. She scored two runs and drove in another to go along with one stolen base.
PITCHER: Gina Dudley | Rhodes | Sophomore | Palatine, Ill. - threw a complete game shutout in game one against Centre, scattering four hits and striking out four without a walk. She also earned a second victory on the weekend in game 3 against Centre, throwing two innings and allowing six hits and two runs.
Notable Performances:
- Andrea Searcy (Centre) – tossed 6.1 innings against Rhodes, allowing 10 hits and three runs, just one earned, with four strikeouts.
- Sydney Moroney (Berry) – went 8-for-16 with a .625 slugging percentage over six games at the NFCA Classic. She also tallied three RBIs and scored six runs for the Vikings.
- Kinsey Smith (Millsaps) – hit .750 in a doubleheader with Huntington, going 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and a run scored on a homer.
- Eve Bournias (Sewanee) – batted 5-for-14 with three runs scored in six games last week. Against BSC, she went 3-for-3 with a run scored, leading the Tigers to a victory.
- Cheney Floyd (Centre) - notched a hit in every game of the Rhodes series, including a perfect 4-for-4 outing on Sunday.
