CANTON, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Associaiton named Landon Painter of Berry the week six Golf Athelte of the Week.

Athlete of the Week:
Landon Painter | Berry | SR | Dalton, GA – A senior from Dalton, GA Painter helped lead the Vikings to a win at the Chick fil A invite at Berry College. Painter finished second out of 98 golfers shooting six under for a 2010 over three rounds to lead the Vikings. Painter had 14 birdies.
Notable Performances:
- Niel Phillips | Sewanee | SO | New Orleans, LA –Phillips posted two holes-in-one on the same day on the same hole on the first day of the Chick-fil-A Invitational. He recorded the eagle and three birdies in the first round, another eagle and four birdies in the second round and one birdie in the final round.
- Ricky Mitchell | Southwestern | JR | San Antonio, TX – Ricky Mitchell captured Tournament Champion honors at the Abilene Intercollegiate, posting rounds of 73 (+2) and 68 (-3) for a two-day total of 141 (-1). He led the field in par 4 scoring (-4) and tallied 5 birdies, 25 pars, and a clutch eagle on 18 to edge out his own teammate for the title. Mitchell’s standout performance helped the Pirates secure a first-place team finish, highlighting his impact both individually and for the team.
