CANTON, Ga. – Conference play is in full swing for SAA baseball teams with all seven schools getting into league play. Hendrix continues to lead the conference at 3-0 while Centre is 4-1 (13-2 overall) and Berry 2-1 (12-8 overall). Millsaps at 1-1 in the conference and 12-5 overall while host Centre in an SAA series rubber match on Monday afternoon.

Riley Uhls | Berry | Junior | Lexington, Ky. - led the team at the plate in the SAA opener this weekend. Going 2-1 against Oglethorpe, Uhls want 8-of-14, scoring six runs with 12 RBIs. He showed out in game two with six RBIs, a double, and a homerun. He had four total extra base hits with two dingers and two doubles on the weekend.

Nick Tarantino | Millsaps | Senior | Covington, La. – facing the SAA’s top-team in 14
th-ranked Centre, Tarantino had another standout performance. The Covington, La., native nearly went the distance, tossing 8.2 innings, tying a season- and career-high 14 strikeouts in a narrow 2-1 defeat. He only allowed two, ninth-inning runs, with three walks and eight hits during the outing.
Notable Performances:
- Aidan Petrocco (Sewanee) - was 7-of-14 this weekend with two runs and three RBIs over four games as the Tigers went 3-of-4, with their one loss coming to No. 1 UW-Whitewater. He added a double and two walks offensively. Defensively, Petrocco also collected 13 putouts and 12 assists.
- Holden Phillips (Sewanee) – against Grinnell, threw five innings with three strikeouts, allowing just two earned runs on five hits as the Tigers defeated Grinnell in Pensacola.
- Jackson Halla (Berry) - took the mound for the opening SAA game for the Vikings to through six complete innings allowing only five hits and two runs with three strikeouts in the 18-8 win over the Stormy Petrels.
