Offense:
Grayson White | Sewanee | SO | Columbia, S.C. – White netted a pair of goals for Sewanee in Saturday's 4-0 win over 18th-ranked Johns Hopkins. He scored in the 69th minute on an assist from Wells Durham after a turnover deep in the Sewanee offensive end. He posted his second goal just 36 seconds later, converting a penalty kick.
Defense:
Nathan Vanhoeve | Sewanee | SR | Richmond, Ky. – Vanhoeve posted a pair of clean sheets for the Tigers, who played to a scoreless draw against Montclair State (who defeated Rhodes, 4-0, on Sunday) and posted a 4-0 win versus 18th-ranked Johns Hopkins. He registered four saves against nine shots from Montclair and five saves versus 12 shots by Johns Hopkins. It marked the eighth and ninth shutouts of Vanhoeve's career.
Offense Notable Performances:
- Jack Raulston | Berry | SO | Knoxville, Tenn. – A sophomore forward from Knoxville, Tenn. Jack Raulston helped lead the Vikings to an opening day 3-0 shutout win over Brevard recording two goals. Raulston broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with his second career goal and then would score his second goal of the game in the 56th minute as the Vikings went on to win 3-0. Raulston is tied for first in the SAA in goals with two.
- Myles Walden | Millsaps | FR | Fort Mitchell, Ala. – Walden impressed in his collegiate debut, helping the Majors down MUW, 6-1 at Harper Davis Field on Friday. Walden netted two goals off the bench in 39 minutes of action. He scored the game-winning goal alongside three shot attempts, with both on-target attempts finding the back of the net.
- Owen VanMarter | Oglethorpe | SR | Hilton Head Island, S.C. – Owen VanMarter registered a goal and an assist in the Stormy Petrels' two matches this weekend at Emory's Sonny Carter Invitational. His goal proved to be a crucial one as it tied the game against No. 4 Washington and Lee, helping the Petrels earn a draw.
- Nico Colegrove | Southwestern | JR | Austin, Tx. – Colegrove contributed heavily in both goals which led the Pirates to beating #17 Claremont-Mudd-Spriggs Colleges on Sunday. Colegrove riffled home the game winning goal from the 18 in the second half. Colegrove also started in the match win against St. Thomas.
- Samuel Theiss | Trinity | JR| Boerne, Tx. – Theiss made his presence felt in limited action this weekend, stepping up in big moments to help Trinity secure a signature win. The junior forward logged 66 minutes and scored the Tigers’ opening goal in a 2–1 victory over 17th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Prior to the St. Thomas game being postponed due to rain, Theiss also tallied an assist, continuing to contribute offensively. Over the weekend, he generated seven shots, including three on target. His timely goal and playmaking ability were pivotal in lifting Trinity to its biggest win of the season so far.
Defense Notable Performances:
- Cooper Cherry | Berry | JR | Canton, Ga. – A junior from Canton, Georgia Cooper Cherry helped lead the Vikings to one win and a draw over the weekend as they got off to an unbeaten start. Cherry led the way in net in both games playing all 180 minutes while recording two shutouts and five saves. In game one against Brevard Cherry picked up the win playing all 90 minutes and recording one save in a 3-0 win. Then in game two against Lynchburg he played all 90 minutes helping secure a 0-0 tie while recording four saves. Cherry is tied for first in the SAA with two shutouts and zero goals against.
- Sebastian Lewis | Oglethorpe | FR | Roswell, Ga. – Oglethorpe freshman Sebastian Lewis posted a great week in two weekend games at Emory's Sonny Carter Invitational. He had 10 saves in total, including six saves to help the Stormy Petrels earn a 1-1 draw against No. 4 Washington and Lee.
- Scott Johnson | Southwestern | SR | Seattle, Wash. – Johnson had two big games in goal to help the Pirates go undefeated on the weekend, starting in both the St. Thomas 2-0 victory and the Claremont-Mudd-Spriggs Colleges 2-1 victory. The win on Saturday was against the 17th best team in the country. Individually, Johnson racked up 10 total saves. Johnson totaled seven saves on Sunday against CMS, which ties his career high.
- Jayden Schell | Trinity | JR | Dallas, Tx. – Jayden Schell delivered a commanding performance on the back line, playing all 90 minutes to anchor Trinity’s defense in a 2–1 victory over 17th-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The junior defender helped limit one of the nation’s top teams to just five total shots, allowing only a single goal in the statement win.
