Atlanta, Ga. – Heading into a busy winter break schedule, Millsaps ran its winning streak to nine in a row and stands atop the SAA standings at 9-1. Centre had its first setback of the season against No. 17 Washington & Lee and are now 8-1 on the year while Oglethorpe at 7-4 also boasts one of the SAA’s best records.
All eight teams will close their nonconference slates over the next two weeks with league play getting back underway the first week of January.

Athletes of the Week:
Sheraton Foster | Birmingham-So. | Sophomore | Franklin, Tenn. – posted two big games for BSC last week. The sophomore netted 31 points on 10-of-15 shooting while adding six assists and four rebounds in a win over Belhaven. Foster scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win. She also contributed 11 points and four steals in the Panthers game against St. Thomas.
Notable Performances:
- Haley Franklin (Millsaps) – netted a season-high 32 points on 12-of-16 shooting to lead Millsaps over MUW. The junior also had six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and a career-high four blocks. Franklin now leads the SAA in scoring at 17.7 points a game.
- Elly Callihan (Berry) – tallied 11 points, two rebounds and four steals in the Vikings rout of Agnes Scott.
- Bailey Rucker (Centre) – averaged 17 points and three rebounds over two games for the Colonels. She had a big night against Huntingdon with 20 points on 3-of-5 shooting from long range.
- Cydney Wright (Sewanee) - had a career-high 20 points against Bob Jones on Friday. She also picked up four steals, four rebounds, and one assist. Against No. 22 ranked Whitman, Wright collected 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
- Keimarya Rivera (Oglethorpe) - posted her third and fourth straight double-digit games in leading the Stormy Petrels in both games of the week. She averaged 13.5 points and 10 rebounds for the week, including a game of 16 points and a career-high tying 16 rebounds in a home win over Huntingdon.
