CANTON, Ga.  – Four SAA schools were in the pool during the second weekend in November. Sewanee hosted Berry in a Friday night dual and beat the visiting Vikings 146-75. Centre picked up a pair of wins in a home double dual, beating Franklin 169-130 and Hanover 254-25. Rhodes made the trip to Cleveland, Mississippi and battled Division II powerhouse Delta State, falling 175-120.

Athletes of the Week:
SWIMMER: Adeline Carroll | Rhodes | Senior | Vestavia Hills, Ala. - had an outstanding meet, winning all four of her events in a commanding display of skill and speed. She swam the freestyle leg of the 200 medley relay, clocking a time of 1:45.18—just shy of her team’s own SAA record. In individual events, Adeline claimed the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.93, surpassing her performance from last season’s conference championships. She also won the 200 IM with a swift 2:04.38, breaking her school’s record and placing her third in the NCAA Division III rankings for the event. Adeline capped off her day with a strong 51.50 split in the 400 free relay, which finished in 3:32.07.
 
DIVER: Katie Walker | Sewanee | Senior | York, S.C. - delivered a commanding performance in diving, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. She achieved a score of 220.35 on the 1M board, the highest score in the conference this season. Walker also took the top spot in the 3M event with a score of 174.15, underscoring her skill and consistency in both disciplines.
 
Notable Performances:
  • Sara Jean Postle (Centre) - The first year finished third in the three-meter dive (191.99) and fifth in the one-meter (192.83) against Hanover and Franklin.
  • Callie West (Centre) - won four events in the Colonels’ wins over Hanover and Franklin. She started with a win in the 400 medley relay (4:00.87). The senior then took first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.84, which was the only sub-minute time in the race. She also won the 200 IM (2:10.66) and was first by over seven seconds. She wrapped up the night with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:40.95). 
  • Ella Deitch (Sewanee) - put on a dominant performance with three event wins this week, showcasing her endurance and versatility. She won the 1000 Free with a time of 10:55.36, marking the third-fastest time in the conference and earning a top-10 spot in program history. In the 400 IM, Deitch clocked a 4:46.63, the fastest time in the conference this season and another top-10 program record. She also claimed victory in the 500 Free with a time of 5:27.04, winning by an impressive 7-second margin.
