CANTON, Ga. – With the calendar flipping to March, SAA softball teams continue to welcome nonconference competition to the South. Berry leads the pack at 9-1 with the Vikings currently riding a seven-game winning streak. Millsaps is 5-4 while Hendrix is sitting gat 3-3 after two wins over the weekend.

Betty Wolf | Hendrix | Senior | Carney, Okla. – went 9-for-16 at the plate in doubleheaders versus Williams Baptist (Ark.) and Lyon last week. Against Williams Baptist, she went 4-for-7 with a run scored in a pair of losses. She led the Warriors to a road sweep of Lyon on Thursday, going 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs and an extra-base hit in an 8-5 extra-innings win in Game 1. In Game 2, Wolfe was 3-for-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored in another 8-5 win.
Pitcher:
Kennedy Caudill | Centre | First Year | New Albany, Ind. – picked-up her first-ever collegiate win in the circle in a 13-3 drubbing of Berea. In 9.2 innings of work over two games, she racked up seven strikeouts to just two walks while scattering four hits. She didn’t allow an earned run in either appearance.
Notable Performances:
- Hannah Gore (Berry) - went five innings in a game one win against Covenant allowing only four hits and two runs with nine strikeouts.
- Addie Nickelson (Rhodes) - was clutch for Rhodes in the circle this weekend, notching one save and one win over 7.1 innings pitched and only giving up 1 earned run in that timespan. Her win came against Roanoke where she pitched 5.1 innings and gave up 0 earned runs to snag Rhodes 3rd victory for the weekend.
- Ava Fouts (Berry) - In an 11-0 game two win over Covenant, Fouts went 3-3 at the plate scoring two runs with two RBIs. During game one she was 3-4, scoring two runs with a double on the day.
- Aleiah Branin (Centre) - Went 1-for-2 at bat in both games, with one walk in the first game and two in the second, against Berea while playing in the outfield. Scored two runs in the first game and one in the second. Her on base percentage of 0.643 is the second-best in the SAA and she is tied for first in the league in walks with six.
- Katie Bejian (Rhodes) - was quite the impact player this weekend for Rhodes Softball. In 16 at bats she had 7 hits, 5 RBI’s and one walk with a .436 batting average and a .611 on base percentage! Her bat and her quality defense at second base helped Rhodes secure 3 victories on the weekend!
