Athletes of the Week:
Offense:
Manoli Loupassi | Sewanee | JR | Richmond, VA – Manoli Loupassi had 15 points in two games, including tying a program record with 10 points against DeSales on Wednesday with six goals and four assists. He followed up that performance with five more points on four goals and an assist to help the Tigers to a 12-5 conference opening win over Centre. He added four ground balls to his performance on Sunday and two on Wednesday. Loupassi surpassed 100 career points with his five points on Sunday.

Defense:
Asa Nischwitz | Sewanee | JR | Germantown, TN – Asa Nischwitz was 32-of-40 on the week with 20 ground balls. He was 19-for-23 with 14 ground balls against DeSales and followed it up with 13-for-17 with six ground balls in a key conference game against Centre. Nischwitz was a perfect 11-of-11 in the first half, consistently giving the Tigers possession.

Notable Performances:
Offense

  • Gannon Johnson | Oglethorpe | FR | Minneola, FL – Oglethorpe freshman Gannon Johnson posted a career high for points when he put up five scores and three assists in the Stormy Petrels' only game of the week last week. It was his second straight game of at least five goals and seven points.
  • Andrew Murphy | Rhodes | SR | Potomac, MD – Andrew Murphy delivered a historic offensive performance this week, highlighted by a record-setting outing in the Lynx’s 17–6 win over Wittenberg where he scored nine goals and added one assist for 10 total points, breaking the Rhodes school record for goals in a single game. Murphy followed that performance with another strong showing in Rhodes’ 16–9 victory over Keene State, adding a goal on seven shots. Across the two games, Murphy totaled 10 goals and one assist to lead the Lynx offense during a week in which Rhodes scored 33 combined goals.
Defense
  • Gabe Hunter | Oglethorpe | FR | McDonough, GA – Oglethorpe freshman Gabe Hunter posted a career high 15 ground balls and went 18-for-32 at face-off in the Stormy Petrels' only game of the week. He also caused a turnover and contributed on the offensive end with a goal and an assist.
  • Lucas Pagliarulo | Rhodes | SR | Medfield, MA – Lucas Pagliarulo anchored the Lynx defense with a standout performance this week. While the position often does not produce large statistical totals, Pagliarulo was a lockdown presence on the defensive end throughout the week, consistently shutting down opposing midfielders and disrupting offensive possessions. He finished with three caused turnovers, one ground ball, and an assist, while playing a critical role in Rhodes’ defensive success. His physical play, field awareness, and ability to win key matchups helped control the pace of play and prevent scoring opportunities, making him a key contributor for the Lynx.
