CANTON, Ga.  – Keaten Cox of Southwestern takes his second honor while Hayden Burns takes his third Athlete of the Week accolade.

Athletes of the Week: 
Offense: 
Keaten Cox | Southwestern | SO | Allen, TX – Cox dominated against Hendrix College with 4 goals and 4 assists in just one half played. The four goals and four assists both marked his season high. The sophomore currently sits at 24 goals and 22 assists on the season. 

Defense: 
Hayden Burns | Centre | SR | Roanoke, VA – Hayden Burns delivered an outstanding defensive performance, recording 13 saves and collecting 4 ground balls. The 13 saves highlight exceptional reflexes, positioning, and composure under pressure, as repeatedly stopping shots requires both quick reaction time and strong awareness of the field. In addition to protecting the goal, the 4 ground balls demonstrate an ability to secure loose possessions and help initiate transitions, contributing beyond just shot-stopping.


Notable Performances: 
Offense

  • Thomas Tyack | Centre | FR | Columbus, OH –Thomas Tyack turned in an exceptional offensive performance, finishing with 4 goals and 3 assists. Scoring four times showcases his ability to find the back of the net with consistency and precision, while adding three assists highlights his vision and unselfish playmaking. By contributing to seven total scoring plays, Tyack proved to be a central figure in the offense, creating opportunities both for himself and his teammates. 
  • Gavin Nagle | Rhodes – Gavin Nagle led the offense with a strong all-around performance across two games, totaling 10 points on 2 goals and 8 assists. Nagle consistently created scoring opportunities, showcasing excellent vision and playmaking ability while controlling the pace of the offense.
  • Charles Moran | Sewanee | SR | Dallas, TX – Charles Moran tallied four goals and two assists on the week, including three goal and two assist night in Sewanee’s final non-conference match-up against Southern Virginia on Monday. Moran took just one shot in Saturday’s game against Oglethorpe, finding the back of the cage, and added five ground balls on the weekend. 
Defense 
  • Lucas Pagliarulo | Rhodes – Lucas Pagliarulo anchored a dominant defensive unit that allowed just 10 combined goals across two games. Pagliarulo consistently shut down opposing matchups, limiting scoring opportunities while playing a key role in a near-perfect clearing effort throughout the week. In addition to his defensive impact, he contributed offensively with a goal, highlighting his all-around performance.
  • Gus Albright | Sewanee | JR | Portland, OR – Gus Albright collected nine ground balls and three caused turnovers on the week, helping Sewanee to two wins. Albright posted a career-high seven ground balls and two caused turnovers in Sewanee’s final non-conference match-up against Southern Virginia, while adding two ground balls, a caused turnover, a faceoff win, and a goal against Oglethorpe on Sunday. 
  • Dylan Mackie | Southwestern | FR | Sayreville, NJ – Mackie gave the Pirates a massive advantage in a 17-5 win over Hendrix on the face off line. The freshman had a career day, going 15 for 17 on face offs and collecting 8 ground balls. Both eclisped career marks by a large margin as the freshman and junior duo Trey Pena have become a strong face off duo.
