Atlanta, Ga. – SAA women’s basketball teams put their non-conference slates in the rearview mirror and with the turn of the calendar to 2024, will get right back into conference play.
Millsaps and Centre have emerged as the conference leaders, both at 10-2 heading into January. The Colonels have won games by an average of 18.8 points a game while Millsaps is plus-12.8 during the span.

Athletes of the Week:
Riley Brady | Hendrix | First Year | Little Rock, Ark. – averaged 14.3 points and 14.7 rebounds in three games for the Warriors during Winter Break. She recorded her fourth double-double of the season versus Ozarks (Ark.), scoring 16 points and grabbing a career-high 19 boards. Brady posted 19 points and 14 rebounds performance versus the University of Dallas and followed with 11 rebounds against 19
th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan.
Notable Performances:
- Avery Marsh (Rhodes) – played in four games during Winter Break, averaging 13.8 points and six rebounds. She posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Wesleyan and netted 20 against La Verne in Las Vegas.
- Haley Franklin (Millsaps) – averaged 21 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists a game for the Majors. She netted 24 points, three rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes in a 63-59 win over Williams College on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Franklin tallied 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 39 minutes in a narrow 68-65 defeat to No. 24 Mary Hardin-Baylor.
- Kenadie Lee (Berry) – averaged 12.7 points, five rebounds, and 3.7 assists over three games. She led the Vikings to a win over Williams with 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
- Vincent Emma Rose (Centre) - tallied 22 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal in the two contests. In the game versus Webster, Vincent shot a perfect 7-7 from the floor and led the team in points with 14. In the contest versus Greenville, the senior led the Colonels in rebounds with eight.
- Kayla Antoine (Sewanee) - collected 19 points and eight rebounds as the Tigers fell to 12th-ranked Emory. She also registered two steals and two assists as she went 7 of 11 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line. Her eight rebounds were the most of anyone on the field.
