SAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Report – Nov. 18, 2024

CANTON, Ga.  – Sewanee hosted UT Southern at the Fowler Center in the lone SAA women’s swimming action last week. The Tigers dominated from start to finish, posting a 122-84 dual meet victory.
 
The weekend before Thanksgiving will prove to be busy with all six teams in action. Berry and Sewanee will visit the site of the 2025 SAA Championship, swimming in the Centre Invitational with the Colonels. Millsaps, Hendrix, and Rhodes will travel to Cleveland, Mississippi for the Delta State Invitational.

Athletes of the Week:
SWIMMER: Ella Deitch | Sewanee | First Year | Arnold, Md. - continued her strong season with key performances in multiple events, finishing with two first-place and one second-place finish. She finished first in the 200 Free with a time of 2:02.25, now ranking 10th in the SAA. Deitch also excelled in the 200 Breast, finishing first with a time of 2:29.62, the third-fastest in the SAA this season.
 
DIVER: Katie Walker | Sewanee | Senior | York, S.C. -  dominated the diving boards with two first-place finishes. On the 1-meter board, she tallied 214.65 points across six dives. On the 3-meter board, she secured the top spot with a score of 221.33.
