Atlanta, Ga. – Heading into the middle March, Berry continues to lead the SAA standings at 6-0 in league play and 21-3 overall. The sixth-ranked Vikings earned a win over nationally ranked Huntingdon and swept Centre in SAA action to highlight the week. Birmingham-Southern is riding a four-game winning streak and is tied with Rhodes for second in the conference, both at 5-1.

PLAYER: Ava Fouts | Berry | First Year | Canton, Ga. – picked up a pair if wins her two appearances in the circle for the Vikings. Against 20
th-ranked Huntingdon, she tossed a complete game, scattering five hits and allowing one run with eight strikeouts, allowing Berry to pick up a huge 2-1 win. Fouts pitched three innings against Centre, striking our four and not allowing a Colonels hit.
PITCHER: Leah Wood | Birmingham-Southern | Senior | Guntersville, Ala. – batted .600 over six games, which included a double header split with WashU and three-game sweep of Hendrix. She went 9-for-15 at the plate with an RBI and six runs scored. She hit safely in every game and closed the week with a 3-for-4, three runs scored performance against Hendrix.
Notable Performances:
- Gina Dudley (Rhodes) – enjoyed busy week with four starts as Rhodes went 5-1 for the week. She totaled 26 innings, allowing just four unearned runs and four walks while fanning 13, 10 looking. She threw a gem against Millsaps, posting a complete game shutout with three hits and one walk to four strikeouts.
- Olivia Trout (Birmingham-Southern) - went 2-0 in her two outings for the Panthers this week. In the win over Wash U on Tuesday, Trout pitched six innings with six hits allowed and only one run given up. She also had three strikeouts. In the 2-1 win over Hendrix on Saturday, Trout pitched a complete game with six hits and only one run allowed. She, once again, recorded three strikeouts in the win.
- Lucy Baseheart (Centre) – racked up seven strikeouts over 8.1 innings across two games with sixth-ranked Berry. She fanned four in the finale, which tied for her second-best mark this season.
- Allana Vasquez (Millsaps) - was strong in two outings in the circle at Rhodes. She totaled 12.1 innings in two appearances with three earned runs against, three walks, three strikeouts and 15 hits. In a 3-2 win on Saturday, Vasquez pitched a complete 7 innings with two strikeouts, two walks against two earned runs and eight hits. She also tallied a two-run home run and scored a run in the same win. In 5.1 innings of relief in a 3-0 defeat on Sunday, she held the Lynx to one earned run, one walk, one strikeout with seven hits.
- Morgan Frye (Berry) – went 5-for-10 at the plate and held a slugging percentage of .900 and an on base percentage of .706 across five games this week. She had a triple and two doubles on the week.
- Hailey Watson (Centre) - Had a perfect fielding percentage in all three games at no. 6 Berry. The senior had two putouts in each of the first two games and four in the final contest. Watson tallied a hit in the doubleheader finale on Saturday.
- Kinsey Smith (Millsaps) - batted 4-for-10 with three RBIs, two runs scored and doubled at Rhodes over the weekend.
- Savannah Russell (Rhodes) – batted 9-for-21 with five RBIs and four runs scored, leading Rhodes to a 5-1 week.
- Sydney Tackett (Sewanee) - went seven-of-fifteen this weekend with a .467 batting average, collected four RBIs, four runs, and had two doubles. Her season batting average is .416, she had a slugging percentage of .519 and an on-base percentage of .458.
