CANTON, Ga.  – Week eight of action claimed all Vikings storming Athlete of the Week honors.

Athletes of the Week:
Offense:
Max Albertson | Berry | BR | Woodstock, GA – A senior from Woodstock, GA Albertson helped lead the Vikings to two wins last week as they took down Piedmont and Rhodes. In the first game against Piedmont Albertson scored the first goal, which would be the game winner as the Vikings won 3-0. Then in the second game of the week Albertson scored the crucial second goal of the game as the Vikings took down Rhodes 2-0 in SAA play.

Defense:
Cooper Cherry | Berry | JR | Canton, GA –A junior from Canton, GA Cherry shined for the Vikings defense as he helped lead them to two victories last week while delivering two shutouts. In game one against Piedmont Cherry played all 90 minutes in goal while recording seven saves in a 3-0 shutout win. Then he played all 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Rhodes in SAA play while racking up another seven saves as the Vikings won 2-0.

Offense
  • Luca Orsi | Oglethorpe | FR | Sau Paulo, Brazil – Oglethorpe freshman Luca Orsi scored the go-ahead goal for the Stormy Petrels in a 3-1 home win in the only game of the week. It was his first collegiate goal and was in line to be the game-winning goal until a late goal from Millsaps off a deflection made the score 3-1. 
  • Quinn MacLeod | Southwestern | SO | Bedford, TX – MacLeod was dominant in the 2-0 victory against Centre doing the heavy lifting in both goals. MacLeod dribbled down the flank and cut inside the box, creating his own opportunity for the game-winner goal in the 60th minute. MacLeod also drew a penalty in the 79th minute, which led to the dagger penalty kick goal by his teammate. 
  • Max Salinas | Trinity | FR | Austin, TX – Salinas led the seventh-ranked Trinity University men's soccer team to a 2-1 Southern Athletic Association road win at Sewanee on Saturday, remaining tied atop the conference table. Salinas scored the game-winning goal on a corner kick in the 83rd minute to break a 1-1 deadlock and lift the TU Tigers to a 4-0 SAA record this season. The goal was the third this season for the first-year player, as well as his first career game-winner.
 
Defense
  • Sebastian Lewis | Oglethorpe | FR | Rowell, GA – Oglethorpe freshman Sebastian Lewis picked up the win and three saves in the only game of the week, a 3-1 victory over Millsaps at home. He was in line for a combined shutout until a late goal on a deflection found the back of the net for Millsaps after Lewis had already left the game. 
  • Daniel Urquidi | Trinity | SO | Round Rock, TX – Urquidi led the seventh-ranked Trinity University men's soccer team to a 2-1 road win over Sewanee in Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday. Urquidi and the TU Tiger defense held Sewanee to just four shots on goal (13 total) in the game, as well as picking up an assist on the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute. The only goal allowed by Urquidi and the Trinity defense came on a PK in the 33rd minute of play.
