CANTON, Ga. - Southwestern Men's Basketball picks up the week four athlete of the week honors with Shobby Enakpene's stellar performances.

Athlete of the Week:
Shobby Enakpene | Southwestern | SR | Midland, TX  – Enakpene had another strong week, helping the Pirates go 2-0 on the week with wins against Howard Payne and East Texas Baptist. The senior had 20 points against HPU with nine points in the final seven minutes as the Pirates closer. Enakpene followed up the performance with a gritty 20 point night against ETBU in only 22 minutes played, while battling a nagging injury. Enakpene also racked up seven steals on the week.
 
 
Notable Performances:
  • Ryan Shene | Centre | SO | Louisville, KY – Ryan Shene recorded the first double-double of his career on Saturday in Centre's lone game of the week, a win over Spalding. Shene finished with 14 points, nailing two key threes in the final minute of the first half, while pulling down a game high ten rebounds as Centre won by a score of 69-66.
  • Davion James | Millsaps | JR | Brandon, MS – Millsaps men's basketball junior guard Davion James did his part offensively and defensively as the Majors split a pair of Thanksgiving week matchups. The Majors dominated Austin College, 92-71 in Jackson on Monday before narrowly falling at the University of the Ozarks, 78-76 on Sunday. James averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 steals, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
  • Malachi Dooley | Oglethorpe | SR | Mt. Airy, GA –Oglethorpe's Malachi Dooley posted his second straight game of career high scoring with a 32-point effort Tuesday in a Thanksgiving break-shortened week consisting of only one game. He put up 32 points on 12-for-19 shooting while adding seven rebounds and three assists. This followed a 31-point outing to cap the previous week for his second straight 30-point game. 
  • Jackson Lawson | Trinity | SO | Southlake, TX – Lawson led the 16th-ranked Tiger men's basketball team to an 81-73 win over Hardin-Simmons University (TX) in Trinity's only action last week. In his first career start, Lawson poured in a career-high 21 points in just 25 minutes, connecting on 7-of-13 from the field and going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. .
