CANTON, Ga. – As a sign of early spring, Oglethorpe hosted the annual Jekyll Island Invitational over the weekend. The field featured 24 of the nation’s top teams, including 13 ranked in the Division III top-25. Rhodes led the SAA contingent with a fifth place finish. Sewanee finished 17
th, Oglethorpe 20th and Berry 22
nd.

Athletes of the Week:
Ava Bankston | Rhodes | Sophomore | Franklin, Tenn. – led the Rhodes College Lynx to a tie for 5th place in a highly competitive, nationally ranked field. Bankston carded rounds of 71 (-1), 82 (+10), and 72 (E), showcasing her resilience and skill throughout the tournament. The sophomore finished 23 individual spots and nine strokes ahead of the closest competitor within the conference.
Notable Performances:
- Sydney Bowes (Berry) - led the team during the Jekyll Island Collegiate at the King and Prince Golf Course. She finished tied for 25th overall with scores of 76 (+4), 74 (+2), and 81 (+9) with seven birdies throughout her three rounds.
