CANTON, Ga.  – Kriechbaum captures her third athlete of the week honor while Southwestern's Calle Collier tabs her first in the final week of regular season.

Pitcher: 
Megan Kriechbaum | Trinity | JR | Cedar Hills, UT – Kriechbaum led the Trinity University softball team to a 2-1 record against Centre College (KY) to close out the regular season, clinching a share of the SAA Regular Season Championship and the top seed at next weekend's SAA Tournament. Kriechbaum picked up both wins for the Tigers from the circle, posting an outstanding 0.78 ERA after allowing just one earned run over 9.0 innings. She struck out 13 batters and yielded just six hits, holding the Colonels to a batting average of .194 against her.

Calle Collier | Southwestern | SR | Columbus, TX
 – Senior Calle Collier turned in a dominant weekend at the plate, leading the offense with a consistent and impactful performance across three games. Collier finished the weekend going 7-for-11, posting an outstanding .636 batting average, while reaching base at a .636 on-base percentage and compiling an impressive .818 slugging percentage. Across the series, Collier recorded multiple-hit performances in two of the three games, highlighted by a 3-for-4 outing with two runs scored, followed by another 3-hit performance to close out the weekend. She totaled two doubles, showcasing her ability to drive the ball for extra bases, and added one stolen base, contributing both power and speed to the lineup.

Pitcher

  • Hailey Peterson | Millsaps | SO | Metairie, LA – Millsaps softball sophomore right-handed pitcher Hailey Peterson was excellent, helping power the Majors to a series win over Southwestern. She made two appearances and finished with a 0.78 ERA in 9.0 innings. Peterson finished with one earned run, three strikeouts, no walks against nine hits.
  • Gina Dudley | Rhodes | SR | Palatine, IL – Gina Dudley delivered a dominant performance in the circle, tossing a complete game in a 10-inning effort to earn the win. She allowed just three earned runs on 11 hits while striking out four and walking three over 10.0 innings. Dudley faced 43 batters and needed 127 pitches to secure the victory, controlling the game and keeping Rhodes in command throughout in game 2 to clinch us the series win against Berry.
  • Mazlyn Heyer | Southwestern | JR | Willis, TX – Mazlyn Heyer turned in a dominant complete-game performance, earning the win after throwing 7.0 innings and allowing just one run on five hits. She faced only 26 batters and needed just 69 pitches to finish the game, showcasing elite efficiency in the circle. Heyer did not issue a walk and consistently induced weak contact, recording 16 flyouts to just 5 groundouts. Her command and ability to control the tempo kept hitters off balance all game long.


Athlete

  • Kodi Jimmie | Millsaps | SO | Choctaw, MS – Millsaps softball sophomore infielder Kodi Jimmie was strong at the plate, helping the Majors earn a series win over Southwestern. She finished with a .667 on-base percentage as well as a .667 slugging percentage. Jimmie batted 6-for-9 and scored a run.
  • Harper Allee-Press | Rhodes | SR | Ellicott City, MD – Harper Allee- Press had a stellar weekend with a .429 overall BA and an OBP of .556 and an OPS of.985 in Rhodes sweep against Berry.
  • Hannah Bourdreaux | Trinity | JR | Pearland, TX – Boudreaux led the Trinity University softball team to a 2-1 record at Centre College (KY) last weekend, clinching a share of the SAA Regular Season Championship and the top seed at next weekend's SAA Tournament. Boudreaux went 4-for-9 (.444) with a double and two home runs over the three-game series, scoring five runs and driving in three more.
