Atlanta, Ga. – Berry and Birmingham-Southern have risen to the top of the SAA softball standings behind long winning streaks. The Vikings have won six-straight and are 24-3 overall to lead the standings at 9-0 in league play. BSC has a league-best nine wins in a row an sits 15-8 overall, 8-1 in conference play. The two powerhouses will meet up the first full weekend in April.

Athlete of the Week:
PLAYER: Emily Lammers | Centre | Sophomore | Lexington, Ky. – batted .750 with a 1.750 slugging percentage for the week, lifting Centre to three wins. She was 6-for-8 at the plate with five RBIs and five runs scored. Lammers had big games against Hanover, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs behind a pair of home runs, and Ohio Wesleyan, hitting 3-for-3 with two doubles.
PITCHER: Lucy Baseheart | Centre | Senior | Lexington, Ky. – in three appearances, totaled 10.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits while racking up 13 strikeouts. She scattered three hits and allowed two runs against Earlham while posting a career-high six strikeouts over five innings. She threw a perfect 1.2 innings against Hanover and pitched four frames against Ohio Wesleyan, allowing one hit to four strikeouts.
Notable Performances:
- Hannah Gore (Berry) - Throughout her seven innings pitched this weekend, she tallied a win against Rhodes and accumulated nine strikeouts while only allowing two hits.
- MC Campbell (Birmingham-Southern) - recorded her first two wins of the season this week to advance to 2-0 on the year. Against Covenant on Wednesday, she pitched a complete seven-inning game with only one run allowed on six hits and three strikeouts. Against Millsaps on Saturday, Campbell pitched six innings with only one run allowed on three hits with a career-high six strikeouts.
- Shelby Daniel (Berry) - the shortstop went 6-9 at the plate, scoring 4 runs for the Vikings in three wins over Rhodes. She had three RBIs and a double against the Lynx, the double finalized game three to run rule Rhodes in the sixth.
- Emma Jolley (Birmingham-Southern) – hit .571, going 12-for-21 at the plate over five games, leading five wins. She had a hit in all five games this week and knocked in a run in all but one game while racking up 11 RBIs. Her four RBIs in game three against Millsaps was her career-high for RBIs in a single game.
