Atlanta, Ga. – SAA women’s basketball teams are closing in on the halfway point of the conference season with Millsaps continuing to lead the way. The Majors are 6-0 in the conference and 15-2 overall, currently riding a five-game winning streak. Centre and Rhodes are lurking in second place, both at 4-1 on the season.

Athlete of the Week:
Olivia Falvey | Sewanee | Sophomore | Boston, Mass. – posted a career-high performance against Oglethorpe with 26 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. She shot 67 percent from behind the arc and the field as she tallied four-of-six threes and 10-of-15 from the floor. On Sunday against Berry, she collected 23 points, six rebounds, four steals, and one assist. She tallied another four threes and shot 53 percent from the field.
Notable Performances:
- Catherine Althoff (Rhodes) – averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals over two games. Posted a double-double against Millsaps with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
- Kenadie Lee (Berry) – averaged 17-points across two SAA matchups this weekend, including a game-high 19 in a huge win over Sewanee. She shot 62.5% from three throughout the weekend.
- Maya Cable (Birmingham-Southern) – recorded back-to-back games of 18 points while also getting five rebounds against Hendrix and seven against Rhodes.
- Bailey Rucker (Centre) – averaged 19.5 points and three rebounds a game, leading the Colonels to a pair of wins. She poured in a career high 28 points against Oglethorpe, shooting 10-of-18 from the floor and 14-of-16 at the line.
- Haley Franklin (Millsaps) - averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists in pair of SAA road victories over the weekend. Franklin netted 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in a 61-55 triumph at Rhodes on Friday. She added seven points, nine rebounds and two assists in a 65-59 win at Hendrix on Sunday.
- Malia Melton (Oglethorpe) – averaged 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in a pair of SAA games. She was just one point shy of her career high with 15 points against Centre.
