th-ranked Vikings swept Hendrix over the weekend and moved to 9-0 at home. Millsaps won its series over Sewanee and is 2-1, 9-8 overall.

Abbie Buckner | Sewanee | Sophomore | Corryton, Tenn. – hit .412 for the week, going 7-for-17 at the plate with two RBI and seven runs scored. In the SAA series with Millsaps, the sophomore went 5-of-10 with a double over three games this weekend with three walks for an on-base percentage of .677. Buckner scored four runs and stole four bases while collecting six assists and two putouts, with no errors at shortstop.

Hannah Gore | Berry | Senior | Roswell, Ga. – made two appearances in the Vikings series sweep of Hendrix. The senior threw 12 innings and racked up 18 strikeouts with no walks and an 0.58 ERA. She allowed just one hit with eight K’s in a complete game and came back the next day to scatter five hits with one earned run and 10 strikeouts.
Notable Performances:
- Ava Fouts (Berry) - At the plate, Fouts was 5-9 on the weekend for the SAA series sweep of Hendrix. She scored five runs with two doubles. She also made an appearance in the circle for game two, throwing all seven innings to claim the win with five strikeouts.
- Hailey Peterson (Millsaps) – first-year third baseman Hailey Peterson had a strong week at the plate in five games for the Majors. She posted a 0.556 on-base percentage with four hits, six walks, one home run, four RBIs and scored eight runs.
- Athena Gonzales (Rhodes) - had a dominating weekend for Rhodes. In her 16 at bats, she had 7 hits, 3 RBI’s and went 8 for 8 with stolen bases.
- Asheley Howard (Centre) – enjoyed one of her best games of the early season versus Earlham. Pitched the final three innings of a 7-6 win and allowed no runs and just one hit, allowing the Colonels to overcome their one-run deficit. She pitched 5.1 innings in the second game of the DH and had a career-high seven strikeouts.
- Haley Peterson (Millsaps) - had a stellar week in the circle for the Majors, which was highlighted by a no-hitter. In 16.1 innings pitched, she allowed no walks, tossed four strikeouts against seven earned runs and 19 hits. Peterson threw the first no-hitter in program history since April 2016 with a six-inning gem against Agnes Scott on Thursday. She gave up no earned runs in 3.1 innings of relief to earn the win over Sewanee on Sunday.
