Athlete of the Week:
Will Bronson | Trinity | SO | Dallas, TX - Bronson had a pair of double-doubles to lead the Trinity men's basketball team to a two wins at home over the weekend, defeating both Sewanee and Centre to remain in first place in the SAA standings. Bronson opened with a near triple-double against Sewanee, scoring 14 points to go with 10 rebounds and six blocked shots. He hit 7-of-12 from the field and also dished out a pair of assists in just 25 minutes of the 103-84 win. On Saturday night against Centre, Bronson went off for 23 points and 13 boards, hitting 7-of-8 from the field and 9-of-11 at the free throw line. He added two more blocks and another assist to his weekend, as the Tigers won 96-90 over the Colonels. The 23 points are just one away from Bronson's career high and just his second 20-point game of the year. He now has 10 double-doubles this season, including six in the last seven games alone.
 
Notable Performances:
  • Cameron Pope | Berry | JR | Canton, GA - A junior guard from Canton, GA Pope helped lead the Vikings to a big 92-75 win over Oglethorpe in SAA play. Pope led the way with 24 points on 10-for-13 (77%) from the field while adding 8 assists, one block and one steal. After the Storming Petrels got within seven points late Pope helped closed out the game with several key baskets while also finding his teammates for several assists to seal the win.
  • Davion James | Millsaps | JR | Brandon, MS - Millsaps men's basketball senior guard Caleb Kent posted a strong weekend against SAA newcomers Southwestern and No. 25 Trinity, helping the Majors split wins over the weekend. Kent averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals, while shooting 65 percent (13-of-20 FG).
  • Trevor Lombard | Rhodes - Trevor Lombard turned in a clutch performance to lead Rhodes to a 57–55 road win over Millsaps, finishing with a game-high 23 points and a double-double with 10 rebounds in 39 minutes of action. Lombard shot 8-of-17 from the floor and knocked down five three-pointers, consistently providing offensive momentum in a game that featured nine lead changes and was decided in the final seconds. His scoring, rebounding, and poise under pressure were instrumental in helping Rhodes improve to 14–3 overall and 5–1 in SAA play.
  • Nikolas Avaliani | Sewanee | FR | Marietta, GA - Avaliani averaged 29.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in two games. The freshman posted 32 points and five boards at Trinity, connecting on 11-of-18 shots overall, 5-for-10 from 3-point range and 5-of-6 at the foul line. He followed that with 26 points, four rebounds and three assists at Southwestern, hitting 9-of-16 shots and 8-for-12 at the foul line.
  • Shobby Enakpene | Southwestern | SR | Midland, TX - Enakpene dominated the weekend, highlighted by a game-winning three pointer on Friday with 16 seconds left to beat Centre College. The guard averaged 23.5 points in two weekend wins. He's been a model of consistency this season with 23 points on Friday with his third game-winning bucket of the season, followed by a 24 point performance on Sunday in the win vs. Sewanee. Enakpene was ultra efficient, going 19-29 from the field on the weekend with seven assists.
