CANTON, Ga. – Berry had its 43-game conference winning streak stopped by Rhodes over the weekend to tighten the conference standings with three weeks left in the regular season. The Vikings are 8-1 in league play (23-7 overall) and lead Millsaps by one game (7-2 SAA, 18-10 overall). The two schools will meet April 26-27 in Jackson. Rhodes is third in the league at 5-4, 12-16 overall.
The 2025 SAA Softball Championship is set for May 8-11 in Columbus, Georgia.

Elly Bennett | Berry | Junior | Bowling Green, Ky. – in four games against Rhodes, Bennett went 10-of-16 (.625 BA) at the plate with three RBI and four runs scored. She tallied two doubles, a triple, and stole a base during the trip to Memphis. In the series finale, Bennett went 3-for-4 with three runs, leading the Vikings to a win.

Gina Dudley | Rhodes | Junior | Palatine, Ill. – threw two complete games and picked up a win over 20
th-ranked Berry, the Vikings first SAA loss in its last 43 games. Dudley boasted an 0.93 ERA, surrendering just two earned runs and 13 hits over 15 innings. In ame one, the junior was in the circle for eight innings, scattering seven hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts in a close 2-1 extra inning loss. She came back the next day and tossed a gem, scattering six hits with three strikeouts and an earned run over seven innings to earn the victory.
Notable Performances:
- Emily Lammers (Centre) - Had at least one hit in each of the four games in the nominating period. Her best performance came versus Hendrix with a 2-for-4 performance in a Centre win. She had two doubles over the nominating period as well.
- Ella Morgan Sears (Millsaps) - was outstanding across four games during the week. She batted .500 (7-for-14) with a home run, six RBIs, five runs, five stolen bases, a triple and a double. Sears helped the Majors sweep Centre in Kentucky on Saturday and Sunday.
- Hanna Gore (Berry) - In the four game stance with Rhodes this past weekend, Gore threw 12.1 innings across three games, allowing only two hits on day one of the series in her combined two games and two wins. She had seven strikeouts on the weekend.
- Katerine Weller (Centre) - Pitched a total of five innings over two games versus Millsaps and allowed just one earned run. In her first game of action of the week, she allowed no hits or runs in an inning of work. She struck out a combined three batters.
- Allana Vasquez (Millsaps) - was strong in three starts during the week. After a tough test at No. 16 Belhaven, she posted 12 scoreless innings at Centre College over the weekend. She only allowed four hits, no walks and struck out 15 batters. Vasquez tossed 11 strikeouts on Sunday, which is the most by a Major since March 2018.
