CANTON, Ga. – The SAA regular season is complete with Berry capturing its 10
th regular season title. The Vikings went 13-2 in the league and 28-10 overall to claim the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Millsaps and Rhodes tied for second in the conference at 11-4. The Majors earned the No. 2 seed while three-seed Rhodes is the hottest team going into the postseason, winners of its last eight.
The 2025 SAA Softball Championship is set for May 8-11 at South Commons Softball Complex in Columbus, Georgia.

Avery Greeson | Berry | First Year | Calhoun, Ga. – was a tough out for the Vikings against Emory, batting .667 with a pair of RBIs in a split with the Eagles. The first year was 2-for-3 with an RBI double in the opener while also scoring a run. She led Berry to a win in the nightcap, hitting 2-for-3 with another run batted in.
Pitcher:
Taylor Petty | Rhodes | Sophomore | Redlands, Calif. – tossed a gem to secure the second victory of the sweep against Centre. The sophomore produced a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit while striking out 12 without a walk. Her effort did not allow a runner past first base.
Notable Performances:
- Kinsey Smith (Millsaps) - helped the Majors earn a weekend road sweep at Hendrix following a strong effort at the plate. She posted a 0.5 on-base percentage with a homer, three RBIs, run scored, stolen base, double and two walks.
- Savannah Russell (Rhodes) - had a dominating weekend to help Rhodes with the sweep over Centre. In game one of the series she went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI's. Overall, she went .500 for the weekend going 6-for-12, with five runs, three RBI's and a .500 on base percentage.
- Ava Fouts (Berry) - In the circle for the Vikings in game two against Emory, Fouts earned the win throwing all seven innings and 122 pitches. She only allowed three runs, two of which were earned.
- Allana Vasquez (Millsaps) - posted two stellar starts to help the Majors sweep Hendrix on the road over the weekend. Vasquez posted a 1.00 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 14.0 innings pitched. She only allowed two walks and 10 total hits, helping earn 3-0 and 6-3, complete-game triumphs.
